Jace:

I woke up at about four in the morning from more dreams about a life I'd swear I'd never had to find myself surrounded by the girls. Flame had obviously been kicked to the floor. It hadn't seemed to effect him since he was still deeply asleep. I smiled at the irony of the fact that the two of us would instantly wake up if there was trouble, yet we'd sleep through the girls taking over the bed. I shook my head laughing to myself then studied him and noticed that Lia was curled up next to him. He turned in his sleep and then the sound of a soft lullaby echoed throughout the room.

I blinked as I listened to it and mumbled "Who's got such a beautiful voice?" I closed my eyes and listened to it not realizing that I was starting to slip back into the dreams until I was fully under. I shook my head and slid out from under the covers, which someone had to have put over me while I was asleep, and looked around for my clothes as well as the singer of the beautiful lullaby. The girls started to wake up due to the movement of the covers and I silently cursed to myself. As the girls slipped back to sleep I glanced around and finally saw that Nika was singing the lullaby as she sat in a chair staring at the door.

I managed to slips free then walked over to her and asked "Everything alright?" She nodded without opening her eyes then asked "I'd have thought you'd stay in the embrace of the girls with how you were acting." I shrugged and said "I thought I should check on Ariana and Stantler. Also I keep having dreams about that vision I had when that arrow hit me." Nika nodded in understanding and said "That's probably because you're subconscious is trying to make sense of what happened so, you're dreams will probably focus on it for quite a while." I nodded slowly then Slayer said "Or it could just be that the "dreams" you are having are actually memories of what may be a past life." I stared at him slightly surprised then Nika muttered "Nosy sword, has to toss out ideas that mess with the fabric of reality." Slayer just snickered as the three of us walked to Ariana's room and I questioned whether or not I should wake her, if she was still asleep.

I lightly knocked on the door while Nika and Slayer continued discussing my dreams. After a few minutes the door opened and Aluina stood in the doorway with a robe rapped around her. I raised and eyebrow and she said "What, I felt like changing my form a little bit, so I thought it would be inappropriate to not have some coverings." I blinked and started to ask why, when I realized that she was looking me in the eyes when she'd only been up to about mid-chest height last night. I sighed and said "What is it with everyone changing while I'm asleep?" Aluina laughed and Nika shrugged then Slayer said "Nika and I haven't changed since we met you, so why do you say everyone?" I sighed and said "Fine then, almost everyone changes while I'm asleep."

Slayer seemed to be smiling as he said "There that's a better way for someone who has potential to be a sword master should talk." I mumbled a few choice words under my breath and started downstairs with Aluina and Nika a step behind chatting about Aluina's changes. Slayer just snickered as he followed us thinking about the way I'd reacted to his comments.

I smiled at Nurse joy as I walked downstairs then asked her "Is stantler still in the medical ward?" She nodded then a chancey ran up and started to speak rapidly. Nurse Joy blinked then said "You can find your own way to Stantler's room, right?" I nodded and she said "Alright I'll join you as soon as I can, Chancey and I need to go check on a pokemon just brought in." I nodded and walked to Stantler's room with the others in tow. As we got in I grabbed a chair, while Nika and Aluina stood on either side of the door. Stantler looked at me then sighed and said "What do you guys want?" I smiled slightly saying "Is that any way to treat the guys who saved your life?" He raised an eyebrow and said "Well there's the fact that one of you is a human, the other two are a lucario, and a........ what the hell are you?" Aluina looked offended and said "I'm a suicune who's using a spell to appear different from my regular form."

Stantler blinked and said "Sorry my lady, I thought you were something else due to the scent the boy gives off." I blinked and started to ask what sent when Aluina held up a hand and said "I understand that, but don't make any assumptions based upon smell." He slowly nodded then I said "Stantler I just came to make sure you were ok and ask if you would join my pokemon team." He stared at me surprised that I would ask and I explained "I won't make you join me if you don't want to. I've already got the basic data on your species thanks to my pokedex, however I'd like to actually meet and talk to one of you face to face. I'm as much a pokemon researcher as a pokemon trainer. The prof always told me that pokemon from different regions would be different from the pokemon I found here in Kanto. I didn't believe him at first, but after watching how Rianna, Nika, Aluina, and Lia act compared to Flame I see what he meant." Stantler looked at me confused and Nika explained "I was born in flame forest, but Lucario are from the Hoenn region primarily."

I nodded and Aluina continued "My family is from all over the world, but the reason I specifically was born in Kanto is because of my sire. He met my dam here in Kanto and she couldn't leave him until after I was born, then she and I traveled all over. My sister's and I are each from a different sire." I blinked and she continued "Each of us was sired and born in a different region, so our dam named us the children of each sire's region. It's why we consider ourselves to be so different."

I blinked and thought about it then said "It's not the most logical thing, but usually in instances like the one you're talking about emotions are what rule rather than rational thought." Rina nodded and Slayer commented "When reason loses out to emotion no one wins. Whether it's war, politics, or a simple battle, if both sides lose sight of the reason they fought no one wins. It just becomes a worthless waste of human, and pokemon life." I nodded slowly and Stantler stared surprised that a blade of all things would speak so deeply, or that a human would seem to lament over the loss of pokemon. I sighed then smiled slightly and said "So Stantler which is it, join us or do I help you get to the wild?" Stantler seemed to think on my proposition for quite a while. Finally he said softly "I'll join you on three conditions." I raised an eyebrow and motioned for him to list off his conditions.

He smiled slightly and said "First, that no matter what happens at the end of a battle, win or lose you don't change who you are. Second that if I join your team, we try to be the best in the world, not just the Kanto league. Finally third, that no matter what happens, which includes if any of us fall for good, you never give into the darkness that surrounds us even now." I started to ask what he meant then just shook my head and said "I agree to those terms since none of them are unreasonable." Nika smiled and said "Actually those are the terms of his entire team." Slayer swung slowly in agreement then the three of us and Aluina left to let him get some more rest.

As we left Nika grabbed my arm and motioned toward another room while Aluina walked back to her room to get either some clothes on, or change into her other form. Nika pushed the door open, then she, Slayer, and I walked in. Nika shut te door behind me and I raised an eyebrow questioningly. She shrugged then said "I'd like to keep traveling with you, although Slayer has a few requests he'd like to make." I nodded and motioned for them to start whenever they felt they were ready.

Slayer started after about five minutes of thinking. He simply said "My requests are this. 1. you allow us to train you how to use a sword. 2. You swear Nika in as your squire, assistant or something else once you know how to wield a sword. 3. You help us find the other blades of the past, and their true wielders. Finally 4. I ask that you learn how to control the elements from each of the pokemon you encounter to better prepare yourself for the coming war." I blinked and tried to think of any way those requests would harm me, but couldn't find anything after about five minutes. Slowly I nodded wondering just what the hell I was getting myself into. Slayer laughed and said "So be it, eventually Nika you will go from his sensei to his apprentice since he will primarily defer to me. Now all we have to do is get him a bastard sword." Nika blinked and said "A bastard sword, I thought it would be a broad sword."

I walked out of the closet as the two of them started discussing what kind of sword I should have. (author's note. Yes you can make all sorts of closet jokes if you know me, especially with the sword comments.) Then I headed upstairs to check on the others and decide the team I should take with me to the Cerulean Gym against Misty. I knew I couldn't use Flame or Silver since they were fire types, which also ruled out my bagon.

I wondered if Slayer remembered that I'd planned on learning from them anyway, then just shook my head and laughed. After about five minutes I reached the top of the stairs and walked into my room where the girls were searching for me frantically. I blinked then they dog piled on me while Flame just sat there laughing his tail off. I blinked and said "A little help." as he and Lia walked past. They ignored me and kept going then Aluina walked up and pried the girls off of me. I smiled at her in thanks as I got to my feet. Then glared after Flame and muttered "Glad I'm not going to take him into a water pokemon gym, but still." I walked into the room and sat down then pulled off my two pokeballs and called out my last two pokemon. Bagon popped out and yawned looking tired, and persian's fur looked ruffled as he appeared. I raised an eyebrow and said "Alright you two we have a problem I need to decide who to take with me to our battle against Misty and the rest of the trainers in her gym. Do you two have any ideas." Bagon blinked and said in pokespeak "I'm not willing to face water pokemon so I think I'll sit this one out. However since you can't understand me I don't know why I even bother."

I blinked and said "Who can't understand you and bother doing what?" Bagon blinked and said "You can understand me?" I nodded and said "Yeah, why wouldn't I be able to see you." Persian laughed and said "Because almost all humans have trouble understanding a thing we pokemon say." I blinked and said "What do you mean, you guys are speaking English perfectly as far as I can tell." Persian laughed and said "We're speaking pokespeak my boy. I'd have thought you'd realize that by this point." I blinked and said "Ok, so you guys have been speaking pokespeak. Great..... then what are your names?"

Bagon blinked and said "My name is Shella." I raised an eyebrow and she continued "I'm a female bagon, and I like Flame at first, but his eyes seem to be focused on Lia." I blinked and she continued "As I was saying, the fact that we're fighting a bunch of water types is reason enough for me to to sit out." I nodded slowly then said "I was sort of thinking that Mr. Persian, Dusk, and Rianna would be who I used. Since Silver, Flame, and you are all weak to water type moves." Shella nodded thinking that I had a good idea then the Persian said "And who says I want to fight for you, also why don't you ask my name?" I raised an eyebrow and said "Alright, what's your name Mr. Persian."

He smiled slightly and said "My name is Blood Claw. That simple. Don't forget it or you'll not get a response from me." I nodded in understanding and returned them to their pokeballs and headed downstairs to check on everyone else.

The girls, Aluina in her suicune form, Nika, Slayer, Mia, and Lia were sitting at a table talking. I grinned at them then walked over and sat down. Dusk, Rianna, and Silver looked at me questioningly so I explained "I was talking to the rest of our team. The Persian is Blood Claw, and the Bagon is Shella. I've decided Blood Claw, Dusk, and Rianna are the ones I'll be using at Misty's gym. Silver, you, Flame, and Shella will sit out because I don't want you getting hurt or worse, thanks to Misty's water types." Silver smiled and ran her tail along my shoulder then said "I didn't know you cared so much."

I grinned and said "You guys aren't just my team, you're my friends. Without you I don't know what I'd do, same goes for Dusk, Rianna, and everyone else." Dusk and Rianna grinned then licked my faces and walked off while Aluina and Nika sat there talking about the legendaries. I sighed then called out Blood Claw and nodded for Rianna and Dusk to follow me. Silver yawned and followed along seeming interested in what attacks we were going to go over. I walked over to the pond in front of the center and told Rianna and Blood Claw to hop out into the middle of the pond on to pedestals. Rianna glanced at me and I said " Use aura pulse while Blood Claw tries to dodge and use Fury Swipes." Blood Claw ignored my order and instead dodged with quick attack then launched a shadow ball attack. Rianna dodged it and I muttered softly then said "Rianna throw a bone at it using aura."

She nodded and I drew my wooden sword thinking I may have to intervene at some point. Blood Claw smiled darkly and said "How sweet, you prepare to be a night in shining armor." I ignored him and said to Rianna "He's still holding back, so give it all you got. Go all out until he or you pass out, then I'll take you both to the pokemon center. However if you win, I'll let you get something from the pokemart" Silver raised an eyebrow and I amended "I'll get all of you girls something from the pokemart. However if Blood Claw wins, then I get the guys something instead I guess." Blood Claw snickered and said "Looks like the poor girls aren't going to get anything and we boys are getting everything." I sighed and leaned back as things started to get more dangerous. Blood Claw growled and slashed at Rianna with Shadow Claws while she lashed out at him with an aura pulse. I blinked and watched as the battle slowly progressed from the occasional attack to a full out blast for blast battle. Everything Blood Claw did, Rianna countered, and vice versa.

The battle lasted all day and I glanced at Dusk who said simply "I could join in, but this is to fun to watch." Silver nodded then suddenly said "Go Rianna!" I raised and eyebrow and she said "I need a new brush, my old one wasn't designed for the heat of fire types." I nodded in understanding and stretched out as the fighting continued. Suddenly Slayer appeared next to me and said "Time to start your training." I blinked then glanced at Dusk as Flame and Lia walked up. I smiled and said "You three watch the fight and tell me who falls first." then walked off following Slayer back into the woods.

Slayer sighed softly as we arrived in a clearing then was surrounded by a blue light. I blinked and started to ask what was happening as a knight in blue armor materialized holding him. The knight sighed audibly and said "How I hate taking this form, but Nika can't train you properly." I blinked and asked "Why can't she?" Slayer smiled sadly and said "She doesn't have enough training to be counted as a teacher, and she prefers the eastern style. You seem more suited to western sword fighting." I nodded slowly then took a spread legged stance and Slayer laughed. I blinked and he said "We'll work on stance and form later, let's start with the basic forms of swordsmanship instead."

I nodded and he said "Let's start with the basics of attack and defense to be specific." I waited for him to continued and he slowly swung his sword in a horizontal slash. I blinked and said "Let me guess, vertical, horizontal, and spinning slashes are part of that." He nodded then I said "Question is it wise to use your sword as a shield by gripping the handle and blade?" Slayer shook his head and said "Not without gauntlets and even then it's a last resort. It's always better to parry with the handle in both hands or block with a shield."

I looked at him and raised an eyebrow then said "Where exactly am I supposed to find a shield in this day and age?" Slayer laughed and said "You didn't think we blades were alone? If so sadly you were wrong. Each of us is a member of a full set of armor. I am the blue knight's primary weapon as you can see. The others are red, black, green, silver, gold, white, pink, brown, yellow, black and red mixed, copper, bronze, and rainbow."

I blinked and stared at him surprised. He smiled darkly and continued "Each one represents an element, and/or race. I'm water, red is fire, white is life, black death, green is air, brown earth, yellow light, gold darkness, silver spirit, bronze destruction, rainbow creation, copper void, pink fate, and black mixed with red is chaos." I grinned and said "So you guys are based off of the elements in a way." Slayer nodded and then rushed at me. I instinctively blocked him with my wooden sword then twisted it around trying to disarm him. He laughed and reversed the twist sending my wooden blade flying. I blinked and said "Damn I lost." Slayer laughed and explained "I'm stronger than you so grappling like that works in my favor. You should have used your speed to dodge instead of clinching with me. If you learned anything from that then you didn't lose."

I blinked and he handed me my sword then continued "Now try to get past my guard without losing your blade this time." I nodded slowly then swung the sword muttering to myself. I was determined not to lose so I rushed at Slayer then dodged to the side as he stabbed forward. I lashed out and hit his hand causing him to weaken his grip then jumped back as he swung out at me with his free hand. I lashed out and smacked his hand with the flat of my blade, then smacked into his side causing him to stumble.

I grinned and swung the blade at his legs causing him to fall then put a foot onto his back while placing my blade to his neck. Slayer laughed and said softly "I guess you win. I didn't expect you to keep attacking me after the first hit, so surprise worked for you." I nodded and said "You're helmet actually causes you peripheral vision problems. I just used that to my advantage." He nodded slowly and said "Yes, that's why many have open faced helms. Any other things you notice?" I nodded and answered "Yeah, you bloody well let me win. You were moving slow from the start to see what I would do. Not the best thing to do, but definitely not the worst. It gave me a chance to increase my confidence, and allowed me to see how a battle would be if I thought." He nodded and smiled then popped his shoulder and said "Well it's twilight, so we should probably head back." before shifting back into a regular sword. I stared around surprised by how quickly time had flown, then grabbed Slayer and started for the pond across from the hotel.

As I walked I heard the sound of someone crying out in pain and terror. I glanced at Slayer and he said "Yes I'll give you my power to help the owner of that shrill scream." I raised an eyebrow and he explained "When you've been around as long as I have, you tend to hear many things. This includes men who scream like little girls, and beasts that have a lung capacity a thousand times there size or so it would seem." I nodded in understanding and popped my back then said "Well guess we'd best go see what or who made that scream." Slayer seemed to nod to my eye, then I ran toward the sound of the scream as they started getting more frequent.

I ran faster as I suddenly heard the screams stop, and the sound of something wet hitting the forest floor. Suddenly Slayer and I found ourselves in a clearing full of half human, half pokemon beings. One of them was hung by her wrists from a tall tree branch and had whip marks all over her body. Blood was running down from her back where it looked like someone had drawn lines with a knife or dagger. Slayer yelled out in anger and I reacted on instinct as he slipped into my hand and a scyther, creature lashed out at me. Slayer's blade sliced right through his hand causing blood to splatter all over us. Slayer laughed darkly and my eyes flashed as crimson as the blood now staining my coat, face, hands, and hat. I growled and thrust forward spearing the blade through his heart and said softly "Never attack your enemy before you know what they can do." Suddenly I felt a burning fire across my back as something slashed me. I fell onto my hands and knees screaming out in pain.

As another one closed in to attack me I thrust straight up with Slayer impaling their skull. I pulled down and slipped him free then pushed the body of the half abra, half man onto it's back. I sighed and said softly "What the hell do you call these things?" Slayer laughed bitterly and said "My old master called them Morphs. They fought in the last war between humans and what many would call demons. The demons would fuse humans and pokemon to create them. They can be born from humans mating with pokemon, but usually they are engineered." I blinked and said "Engineered, how?" as I slashed out and caught one across the stomach splitting it clean in half with little effort. I glanced at Slayer and he said "That was both of us." I nodded then turned ready to face anything else.

The other 'morphs' as Slayer called them were an arcanine, an umbreon, an ixion, a bulbusaur, and a squirtle. I blinked as they all turned and started running seeing the dead Scyther, and other morphs. I walked over to the girl hanging from the tree and blinked realizing she was a morph just like the rest, however unlike them she only had a pouch around her neck. The others had all worn clothes and strange collars that glowed with an inner light. I walked over and moved the pouch looking for a collar then glanced at Slayer and said "Wonder why she doesn't have a collar when the rest do." Slayer seemed to shrug, so I asked him "Should I cut her down?" He raised an eyebrow and said "Are you sure you should be letting her down. I mean, she's a morph but what kind?" I blinked and studied her more then shrugged and said "Makes me think of a Dragonair." Slayer laughed and said "Anything else you noticed?" I shrugged and said "She has blue skin, a horn, a curvaceous figure, legs surprisingly, and the classic orbs on the back of her tail."

Slayer sighed and said "Fine then I'll cut her down, but we don't heal her until we here from Aluina and the others. Agreed?" I nodded then Slayer sliced her bonds and I caught her. She woke up screaming as blood flowed freely from her back then passed out. I looked at Slayer and said softly "We don't have time for the others to debate about her. If I don't heal her she won't survive long enough to get to the center. I'm sorry Slayer but I have to heal her, one way or another." Slayer seemed to smile sadly then said "I'm glad I just found out what kind of man you really are."

I ignored that comment as I slowly rolled her onto her stomach and started spraying potions into the cuts on her back. I knew after one look that the cuts were caused by Scyther. I glanced around and saw that in Abra's hand there was a whip and silently congratulated myself on killing him. With each squirt of the potion the girl yelped in pain and made some sort of keening sound. I winced each time I heard it and worked faster tying to make there be as little pain as possible. Suddenly her eyes opened and she looked at me. I raised an eyebrow and said in pokespeak "Are you alright?" She nodded slightly and said "I am now, is my pouch ok?" I nodded and she closed her eyes slipping back into oblivion with the knowledge that whatever she was carrying was safe.

I slipped the pouch off her neck and put it around mine so I could get at the marks underneath it. The marks looked like hanging scars. I shivered and mumbled "What have I gotten myself into?" Slayer laughed and said "The same things my master and his companions got into because of their leader. He couldn't help but defend a damsel in distress, whether she be human, pokemon, or morph. I just hope you never come to regret your decisions." I nodded and finished healing the girl then picked her up and said "I think we'd best get her to the pokemon center and let Nurse Joy work on her." Slayer nodded and floated in front of me then simply said "I'll guard you from anyone who would harm her." I nodded slowly and the two of us started for the pokemon center, hotel, and pond where the others had been battling. I shivered at the thought of how the girls were going to react when they saw me covered in blood and carrying a morph. Slayer seemed to read my mind and answered "Be prepared to run from dark, fire, and several aura pulse or aura sphere attacks." I nodded then mumbled softly "Maybe both."

Slayer laughed and said "True, if my mistress likes you as much as she seems to. Also do you think your dragon friend is going to like this?" I blinked and said "Flame or the other one?" He just smiled and I sighed thinking "Damn cocky sword needs an attitude adjustment. Maybe I should tell Nika he needs to be sharpened." We kept walking until the pond and hotel came into sight then Dusk, Rianna, Nika, Lia, Silver, and surprisingly Aluina rushed at me. I barely sidestepped out of their way then said "You can tackle me once I put this one in the pokemon center." They sighed and nodded not paying attention to who I was carrying deciding it was just like Stantler, then all of us headed to the pokemon center where Flame, my dragon, Maya, and Steve were sitting down talking.

I let out a soft whistle and Flame rushed over to help me carry the dragonair girl into the pokemon center. Nurse Joy rushed over with a gurney then strapped her down and ran her to the emergency room. That was when everyone notice the blood on me, and the slashes down my back. The girls suddenly tackled me and started arguing.

Suddenly the dragon and Flame bent down in front of me and asked "You want us to get them off?" I slowly shook my head then said "With that out of the way, how's Blood Claw? Also, where's Rory?" Flame snickered and said "Lover boy is off talking to an Eevee girl trying to get her to fall for him. As for Blood Claw, he's passed out on the bench next to the water. He pissed off Rianna to the point she nearly killed him. Thank Arceus for Nika being there." The dragon nodded slowly then said "So you still not going to ask my name?" I grinned and said "Alright so what's your name?"

He smiled and said "First despite sounding like a guy, I'm female. My elder brother knew your grandfather. Second, My name is Shadara. Somewhat like shadow, but different." I nodded and closed my eyes as the girls did something to cause me more pain. The girls seemed to realize this because Aluina suddenly ran off and called for a chancey or Nurse Joy to come quick. I winced as I felt myself starting to pass out then shook my head and muttered "Not again. I'm getting tired of this shit. Every time I go out I end up coming back and in a hospital bed." Slayer laughed and said "Well you left your flank open. Then again I didn't see it, so I guess it's both our faults." I nodded and winced as someone started spraying something onto my back. I heard a chancee explain to the girls "We're spraying a super potion on his back. It should clear it up in a matter of hours. I don't know what you were so worried about though, he was already healing before we sprayed him."

I blinked and glanced at Slayer who said "Yeah, you're back was half way healed before we arrived here. I thought about telling you, but decided it was just wiser to let you worry about the girl." I nodded slowly and closed my eyes letting the potion sink into my skin then yelped as I actually felt my skin slowly spread to cover my wounds.

Flame blinked and said "Dude, your eyes turned silver as you yelped. Did something happen to you in the woods?" I thought about it then said "Not really, I just got slashed across the back by a scyther morph." Flame blinked confused and Shadara said "You mean a scyther pokemorph?" I nodded and she cursed softly then motioned for Flame and Slayer to follow her as she flew back to the hotel. I watched them go then yelled out "YOU GUYS ARE NO HELP, YOU KNOW THAT??????!!!!!!!!!!!!" I heard Flame and Slayer laugh then, Shadara said something and they went abnormally silent. I shivered wondering what could scare those three so badly then yelped out as one of the girls touched the freshly healed cuts in my back. They quickly got off me and I climbed to my feet then limped back to the hotel with the girls in tow. They growled at anyone who came close and with every step Dusk asked me "You alright, would you like to stop?" I kept telling her no even though I was thinking "Dear Ho-oh if I don't get a rest soon I'm going to pass out from the pain."

As we got close to the hotel the church of Arceus's doors opened and a hooded figure walked out. They looked through the crowd then saw me and said softly "Young man, would you mind entering the church for a time?" I thought about it, then nodded figuring that this couldn't be a trap since the supposed enemy probably wouldn't pretend to worship Arceus. I walked in with Dusk, Rianna, Silver, Aluina, and Nika, then the doors suddenly shut behind us. I sighed and said softly "Girls if anything else that seems fishy happens, destroy this church and incapacitate anyone who gets in the way. Got me?" They all nodded including Aluina then the figure who'd asked me to walk into the church stepped forward and said "Please forgive me for shutting the doors, but only those who follow Arceus may hear what I have to say. I knew nothing of the others, so I couldn't allow them entry." I sighed then nodded and sat down in one of the pews.

The priest surprised me by kneeling in front of me and saying "All hail the true heir to Arceus's power. May he live as long as Arceus himself wills it, and may he always walk into the light." I blinked and stared at him confused then he glanced at the girls and said "All hail the guardians. May their every movement be made with no expense, and may they forever guard the leader of man and pokemon." I blinked confused and everyone except Nika suddenly bowed to the priest and said softly "May Arceus watch over you holy father, know that your duty is fulfilled when you reveal all that is hidden on the scrolls." He stood and smiled at the girls. I looked at Nika who just shrugged with an expression as blank and unknowing as mine. I sighed softly and though "I guess I really stepped into it tonight. First I save a pokemorph who may try to kill me when she wakes up. Then I take her special bag. Finally I end up finding myself surrounded by my own pokemon and a guy who needs to reveal something to me."

I sighed then blinked as the priest through back his cloak's cowl revealing that he was actually a white haired pokemorph. He resembled a charizard in build and coloring, but he had the light blue eyes of a human, and other than skin coloring, he seemed human. He seemed to read my mind and smiled slightly then said "Yes I'm a pokemon hybrid, also known as a morph. My mother was a charizard and my father was her trainer. They took care of me then gave me to the church of Arceus when I turned five. Father couldn't take me with him, and my mother wouldn't leave him. The church took my birth as a sign of old coming anew and taught me the ancient scriptures. Now it is my job to pass them onto the one marked by Arceus's offspring." I blinked confused and he said "Is that not the egg of Arceus in your pouch?" I blinked then shook my head and said "No Arceus's daughter's already hatched. This is a different egg to some other pokemon." He stared at me surprised then asked "Where is this daughter of Arceus?" I explained everything and he started pacing muttering "Not good, Not Good." under his breath over and over. I looked at Silver who explained "If the pokemorphs you were speaking of were wearing the old controller collars, then that means they were children of Theus. The children of Theus tend to turn pokemorphs and hybrids into slaves."

I growled softly in disgust and said "That's horrible. Why would anyone do that?" The priest shrugged then said "Protect that egg, it may one day be of use to you." I nodded and he continued "Now let's head down and talk to my teacher, then I will allow you to read the scrolls." I slowly got to my feet and used the girls for support as I followed him down a large set of steps.

When we go to the bottom I had to lean against the wall with the girls all around me growling softly. I looked at them and they said "We don't want anything to happen to you." Nika and Aluina nodded then all of us slowly walked forward following the priest. Suddenly he stopped and said "I should introduce myself. I am Brother Leonidas. You all are?" Everyone else gave their names then I said "I'm Jace. Jace Shadows. Nice to meet you Leonidas. I hope we can grow to become friends." He smiled sadly then turned and continued walking down the passageway. We followed him until finally he stopped off at a solid wall that seemed as if it were immovable. I started to ask what we were doing there when he suddenly pushed a brick and it swung inward.

I blinked and thought "So now there's secret passageways. Damn what the hell did I get myself into by helping that arcanine?" Leonidas smiled at me reassuringly then walked into the blackness and seemed to be searching around. Suddenly a light flared and he was standing there holding a lamp. He moved around lighting several other lamps throughout the room to reveal a modest reading room with a man sitting in the corner. The man smiled softly and said "Good Evening young Jace. I was wondering when we'd finally meet. As I told Aluina she shouldn't approach you, but amazingly she joined you anyway. You have a way with both people and pokemon as Leonidas may have noticed. It's a gift of Arceus to his children. Maybe I can explain more another day, however for today all I can say is read the scrolls, and that my name is Jonas." Suddenly the lights flared brightly and I saw he was wearing a dark blue cloak, then he vanished. I growled softly and glanced at Lenoidas who said softly "I don't know how he left, or why. However my teacher trusts you so that's enough for me."

He started pulling scrolls off the shelves and laying them down on the table in numerical order. He sighed and said softly "With that done I'm finally to move on to the next world. May I not see you there for a long time. Goodbye Young Jace, and may the guardians protect you." He walked out of the room and suddenly was just gone. I looked at the others and they said softly "He was a lingering spirit waiting for you. Now he's left the knowledge of the children in your hands." I nodded slowly and sat down then opened up the scroll number I which was roman for 1.

It took me twelve hours to read all the scrolls and most of them made references to books that just weren't in the collection, including a book of prophecies. I shivered at the thought of reading that when the time came to do so then motioned for the girls to follow me and walked back to the hotel. It was about late afternoon when we got back to the hotel because I was limping from the pains in my back. The girls helped me as much as they could, but I was to stubborn to lean on them for very long. Which meant it was slow going. When we finally got back to the hotel the others were out front waiting for us. I smiled at them and said "I learned a lot last night. I'd explain, but honestly............ I'm extremely tired." I yawned in the middle of my sentence which just punctuated what I meant.

Flame laughed and said "Right. Well I'm going to spend the day with Maya, and Slayer's in Aluina's room with Shadara, so you guys have the room all to yourselves." I nodded and the girls helped me up to the elevator then we piled into my room and I collapsed on the bed. As I laid there bits and pieces of the histories of Arceus, as the scrolls were labeled, floated through my mind. The girls seemed to understand my problem and started to give me a much needed massage. I smiled then let out a soft ah of appreciation as Silver added heat to her paws. and helped remove my tension. As I laid there I thought to myself "I wonder what the girls would say if they knew that thanks to those scrolls I see them in a new light. They'd probably be disgusted. If not, then how would I react to them?" I shook my head deciding that it wasn't worth focusing on and just surrendered myself to the massaging paws and hands of the girls.

Suddenly the massage stopped and the girls seemed to be talking among themselves. I guess whatever they were talking about Dusk won because the others left and she laid down next to me nuzzling against me. I looked at her confused and she said "Jace the girls and I have decided it's time we tell you our feelings. We love you, every single one of us. Even Lia has feelings for you, and it's all because of who you are." I blinked and said "What does this have to do with them leaving the room?" She smiled slightly and said "They decided I'd get to be the first one with you, since Nika and Rianna were going to ask you to help with their heats." I blinked and mumbled "Ok I must be dreaming, so I'll just go with it. If not, then I'm fucked. If I am dreaming then great." Dusk licked my cheek and I shivered thinking that this was a dream caused by what I'd read in the scrolls.

I turned over and kissed her deeply locking my tongue with hers. She smiled into the kiss then rolled over so she was on top of me and nipped my neck. Something in me just wouldn't take that so I rolled and nipped at her ear till she let go then bit down on her neck causing her to yip. Suddenly Dusk's eyes widened and her ears went back. She stared into my eyes and said "When did your eyes get red pupils?" I blinked and said "What?" She pawed at my shoulder and said "You have red pupils, almost like a few psychic types." I shrugged and said "Who knows. I've been changing a lot."

She seemed to think about it then nodded and bared her throat to me pushing her tail out of the way. I slowly started kissing all over her body causing her to growl out in pleasure and her tail to wag. I gently nipped one of her nipples while running a finger along her sex which was already starting to drip a little bit. I pulled the finger away and licked it clean then mumbled "You taste like blackberries." Dusk blinked and laid her ears over her eyes in embarrassment causing me to laugh slightly. She growled and I nipped her thigh as I kissed my way down to her sex then lapped at her juices. She let out a soft yip of pleasure then suddenly rolled over and lifted her tail out of the way offering herself to me. I blinked and saw that she was looking at me pleadingly over her shoulder. I slipped off my clothes and tossed them into the hamper next to the shower. Dusk moved back rubbing her slit along my body causing me to growl as the smell of her pheromones hit my nose. I growled softly and grabbed onto her hips then slowly lined up my now throbbing shaft with her aching tunnel. I thrust forward slowly pushing the head of my cock into her dripping sex.

Dusk growled softly enjoying the feeling and I felt something changing within me. I slowly pushed myself further in and felt Dusk tighten. I shivered and pushed in to where my shaft was half way and felt some sort of resistance I glanced at her and she nodded for me to continue. Dusk ignored my comment and started thrusting in time with me letting out soft whines of pleasure. I decided to take one from her book and just closed my eyes enjoying what we were doing. I started thrusting harder and faster as Dusk moved back with me. Suddenly I felt my sack draw up and let my load loose deep into Dusk causing her to howl out. I joined her and the phone started ringing. I ignored it as I slipped off Dusk and landed face first in the pillow. Then I slipped into a deep sleep as Dusk licked my cheek one last time.

As I woke up I heard a voice say darkly "Dear Theus boy. What's happened to you? When I checked on you in Boulder you were mostly human, and now you've stooped to mating with a servant? What kind of man are you?" I slowly opened my eyes and turned my head to see a figure in a black robe with a single red X on the chest watching me. I looked at him confusedly and he said "Theus preserve us all if you somehow broke the chain of events my lord has been planning. Did that fool at least get the egg to you?" I blinked and said "Egg?" confusedly. He sighed and growled darkly. I slowly got up feeling off balance as my feet hit the floor and he laughed darkly then said "No, even Arceus wouldn't want your changes stopped. So it was through him that your changes progressed so rapidly. My only question is, can you control them, or will they control you." I focused on how I should feel and the heat and cold from my "dream" flowed back through me. I blinked as I felt my balance shift back to normal and stood up.

I growled at him and said "Who the fuck are you, and what could you possibly want with me?" He laughed darkly and said "My name is Thorian. I'm the second in command of the children of Theus. I'm also a friend of your father." I growled softly and said "Don't every lie about my father like that again. He wouldn't be a child of Theus with what you're people do to pokemon. My father loved pokemon." Thorian laughed and said darkly _ "That's true. He still loves them, although he prefers to mate with those that appear more....human rather than these beasts you have been mating with." _ I growled darkly and punched him in the face turning his head to the side and revealing the scar on his face.

I stopped dead and Thorian laughed. I stared at him and said "Why do you have the same scar as my uncle Theo?" Thorian just smiled then noticed the pouch around my neck and vanished laughing. I yelled after him "GET BACK HERE YOU BASTARD!!!!!!!!! I WANT A FUCKING ANSWER FROM YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I tried reaching into the smoke and pulling him back but my hands only met with air. I sighed and sat down with my head in my hands wondering just what had happened to my family.

My screaming must have woken up Dusk because she got out of the bed and put her arms around my shoulders. I blinked and muttered "What the hell, Dusk has paws not arms, so who's hugging me?" I heard Dusk sigh softly and say "It'll be alright, everything will work out Jace." Then I noticed that her voice was a little less gruff. Instead of trying to speak human tongue with animal vocal cords, it sounded like she was speaking with a human mouth. I turned around expecting to see a strange girl behind me and instead I found myself staring into Dusk's face, but with a few changes. Her muzzle had shrunken slightly causing her eyes to be closer together, her irises had gone from gold to a light blue color, and her face only had fur around her muzzle. I blinked and said "Dusk, is that really you?" She blinked confused then stepped back and looked at herself. She let out a squeal of surprise then tackled me and hugged me saying "Thank you." over and over again like I'd done something.

I blinked confused and said "What the heck happened to you?" Dusk stared me in the eyes and said "You didn't use some sort of ability to make me more human?" I shook my head and said "Not that I know of. I didn't even know I had any sort of special abilities." Dusk smiled and said "Maybe you're abilities are part of your subconscious." I shrugged and she suddenly traced the scar over my eye. She looked at me and asked "Did you get this in a fight?" I shook my head and said "It just appeared the other night, why?" She shrugged then stepped back and said "What do you think?" I blinked and finally took a good look at her changes. Her fur, which had always been all over had now stopped at her stomach leaving a bare patch all the way around, and her legs had slimmed down and turned digigrade. She now had a pair of nice C cup breasts, her tail was slightly longer, and it almost looked as if her fur on her head had changed into hair. I blinked and said "You sure you didn't change yourself?" She shrugged and I said "Well why not try to change back."

She nodded slowly and closed her eyes then fell to all fours. As I watched her hair, for lack of a better word, shrank and fur covered her all over again. Her legs shifted back to how a mightyena's normally looked, her eyes turned gold, and her tail shrank a bit. I blinked and mumbled "This is so odd." Dusk heard me and nodded then the two of us walked out into the hallway where I was tackled by the other girls who looked at Dusk and said "You don't get him again for a while." Dusk nodded and just laughed as they carried me off downstairs to grab some breakfast. Maya, Steve, Slayer, Flame, and Shadara were down there waiting for us. They laughed as they saw the girls carrying me. Then suddenly Flame, Slayer, and Stever were blasted with Aura spheres, and a fie spin attack, causing them to yell in pain. I laughed as the girls set me down then ordered everyone breakfast.

The girls watched me then suddenly Aluina asked me "Who were you yelling at earlier? Also what did you do to make Dusk howl so loudly last night. The manager called your room seven times." I blinked and muttered "I'd have sworn that was just a dream. If not then I wonder what Thorian meant by my changes had accelerated rapidly." The others looked at me confused and I explained what had happened in my room that morning. The others listened as we ate. Then when we were done I glanced at them and said "I guess we'd better go get Blood Claw." The others nodded and we got up then headed for the door leaving the money on the table. As soon as we got out of the building ten people walked up and surrounded us. I sighed and Slayer suddenly appeared in my hand. I raised an eyebrow at him and he said "You need me more than Nika does." I nodded slowly then sighed and said "Anyone who wants to hurt me or my pokemon had better leave now or I can't be held responsible." All ten of them laughed then one stepped forward and said "Give us your pokemon, and we might let you walk away with your life." I growled softly and stared him in the eyes then said "You have to the count of five to leave. Girls, Flame, Steve, Maya, get ready." Everyone nodded and I closed my eyes then opened them causing the guy to step back. I said softly "One."

He looked at the rest of his group and said "What are you waiting for get them." Each of them threw out six pokeballs. The pokemon that popped out were primarily dark, and fighting types so I sighed and said softly "This is going to be to easy." They rushed at us and I said "2. 3. 4. 5." Slowly then slashed out with the flat of the blade sending a machop that rushed at me flying into a tree. I growled softly and Slayer flashed then I twisted around Flame who was about to unleash a fire blast and slammed a gengar in the face.

As soon as I'd said five the others had let loose attack after attack. I growled softly and knocked any that came close to me away with the flat of Slayer's blade rather than trying to cut them. It took about ten minutes to finish the fight then I ran at the ten who'd thrown out the pokeballs and slashed each one in a different way. most of them cut a minor cut on their arms or legs, but I cut the leader across his eyes nearly blinding him. I stared him in the face and said softly "Whoever you are, know this. If I ever hear you're attacking people and trying to steal their pokemon I'll hunt you down." He spit in my face and laughed then said "You just made yourself an enemy of team rocket. We'll remember this, and you'll learn to regret ever becoming a trainer."

I laughed and kicked him in the stomach sending him flying and making the others follow him. Then I dropped Slayer and fell to my knees coughing up a thin stream of blood. The others saw this and started to rush to me, but I waved them off and slowly stood up. Slayer studied me an said "He's been poisoned. It probably happened yesterday and the poison just reached his vitals. We need to get him to a hospital as soon as possible." The others nodded and carried me to the pokemon center quickly. as we passed the bench where Blood Claw was sitting I rolled out of the other's arms and walked over to him. He saw the blood and looked at me questioningly. I smiled and said "I just came to make sure you were ok. If not, then I'm sorry you were out here all night. I'll talk to you when they let me out of the hospital." He raised an eyebrow and I smiled then passed out at his feet.

As I floated in and out of consciousness I heard Blood Claw ask "Is he going to be alright?" I didn't hear the response, but I did hear the girls say "That's a relief. I can't believe he was able to survive that much poison actually hitting his heart." I let out a soft cough as I felt something come into my throat then slipped back into unconsciousness. While I was unconscious a figure walked over and studied me then said softly "My boy, you are a special person. Ho oh has imbued you with some of her strength, Lugia with a bit of his wind, and yet still you don't use it for evil. One day we will meet, and it will be up to you and those you love to reform broken bonds." I looked at the figure confused and it smiled sadly then said "One day you will be asked to give up everything to save the world. I hope by then you understand life enough to decide what you know is right." I nodded and it faded slowly into a thick mist. I started to yell after it, but stopped as it said "Find the lengendaries. From there you will eventually find me." I nodded and everything faded away again.

I woke up at dawn and found myself surrounded by the girls, several life support machines, Flame, Blood Claw, Maya, Steve, and Rory. I sighed and said "I'm getting tired of ending up in the hospital." Rory laughed and said "Yeah, but I bet you're used to it, since you always did when we were kids." I nodded and mumbled "I guess it's because of how sick I was when I was younger that my constitution has gotten so much stronger now." He nodded and I slowly sat up causing the girls to shift and mumble in their sleep. I sighed and leaned my head back against the wall thinking "I wonder how I explain to the others that one day I may be forced to give up everything for the world. I guess I'll just have to enjoy the time we've got left."

Then got up and disconnected myself from the machines causing the girls to wake up and Nurse Joy to rush in. She started to tell me I shouldn't get up but I held up a hand and said "I've got to get my pokemon used to working together so I have no time to lay in bed." She sighed and said "Fine, but before you leave would you like to see that dragonair girl you brought in?" I nodded and followed her out of the room motioning for the guys to stay with Maya, and the girls. Nurse Joy led me through three or four hallways till finally we reached a door marked "Emergency Care." She opened it and I followed her in then we walked a little farther and she opened a door. The dragonair girl was sitting up in her bed looking worried about something so I said "Evening, are you looking for something?" She nodded and said "Yes I'm looking for something, but it's actually morning. You wouldn't have happened to see a brown leather pouch with runes inscribed on it around her, would you?" I smiled and pulled the pouch out from under my hospital gown causing her to let out a large siren like call of glee. I covered my ears because if I hadn't the sound would have made me start jumping around in joy.

I walked over and handed her the pouch saying "Hi I'm Jace, and you are?" She smiled shyly and said "I don't really have a name, my master always called me 3596." I growled softly and said "Then how about I call you Arana?" She thought about it for a while then smiled and said I like it." I grinned and sat down next to her then started asking her questions about her past. She couldn't seem to remember to much, but that was ok I had a feeling I knew where she was from.

While Young Jace sat talking to his new friend, Thorian walked down a hallway looking for his master to make a report. Suddenly a figure stepped into his way and said "Report Thorian." Thorian bowed low and said _ "My lord, the boy has the package. I couldn't wipe the slaves memory however I was able to manipulate it so she doesn't remember anything about us." _ His master slowly nodded then said "Anything else?" Thorian smiled darkly and said _ "His changes are progressing rapidly, but so far he has control over them. The biggest ones I could see were that he has the wings of a dragon type, and the ears of a mightyena." _ Thorian's master nodded and said softly "Watch him from a distance now. Those fools in Team Rocket tried to steal his pokemon to their own sorrow." Thorian nodded and walked off without a second thought. His master watched him go then laughed softly and said "Great Theus the boy is as strong as you'd hoped." He walked on talking to a presence only he could see, yet the pokemon and pokemorphs of the region all sensed and hid from.

Even as Thorian's master spoke to his god, the priest of Arceus known as Jonas walked into the council chambers of the Children of Arceus and announced "The boy has read the scrolls sealed in Cerulean city, and seems to be questing for the legendaries. He also has former agent Aluina West Wind traveling with him. He seems to have grown a lot from when he first received the egg so I think I'll continue to watch him." One of the councilors stood up and pulled back his hood revealing that he was a middle aged man with a long beard that was already graying. he looked at Jonas and asked "Does he have the mark of Arceus's children?" Jonas nodded and the councilor said "You are dismissed Jonas, child of Lemas." Jonas nodded and left the chambers slowly wondering what was going to happen now.

As soon as the doors shut behind Jonas the councilor looked at his fellows and said "It is time we put a new agent among the boys followers. I say we send in Darkus Maxim." The other councilors talked among themselves then a female councilor stood and said "Fine we will send Darkus, however should he fail, you will be stripped of your rank Councilor Daven." Daven nodded then sat as the rest of the councilors filed out talking among themselves of what to do should his plan fail.

Author's note. We finally got a bit of sex going in this story. Now if you notice I've introduced the children of Arceus, but are they really as good as they seem? Who is this Darkus Maxim? What does Daven think of his position hanging on the line? What do the children of Theus know about Jace's new changes that he doesn't. Is Thorian somehow related to Jace?
