Hairy Howl-O-Ween
'On Halloween, it's the one time of the year that every kid and adult gets to dress and pretend to be something that they're not. But this year...Not every 'costume' is what it appears...'
Hi everyone! Sorry for another long wait from yours truly, but here's another short story for ya...And it's a Halloween Special type of short story! Talk about the LONGEST short story I've written so far, but I'll tell ya this...It was worth it. ;)
Honestly, originally at first, this wasn't one of the few short stories I recently planned to do before I got back to doing Dawn of the Dragon. But since Halloween was nearby, and I was partly inspired by a Adult Sized Werewolf mask I came across in a Walmart store a few weeks ago, and actually bought it because I loved it so much, I felt totally inclined to write this story down, and post it on Halloween.
Okay, since there is some adult content in this one, just like several of my other short stories I already posted, here's my trademark warning...If you are under the legal age and are viewing this content, then what the heck are you doing here? You're supposed to be going out trick-or-treating! Not looking at any of this adult stuff! Get going! You're missing out on a lot of candy! Oh, and just another warning to you, after you're done and when you get home, don't eat a lot of it in one night or you might throw up and regret it. XD
*I coughed.* But seriously, if you are under the legal age, or don't like what's in this story, exit this page.
Alright, hope you enjoy this one!
And one more thing. To the Sofurry Community...HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! :)
Sitting in the desk in Math class, I impatiently glanced at the clock above the large, rectangular chalkboard. It said 2:40. I glared at it for one moment. Is that thing slower today than yesterday?! Come on! Strike to three o'clock already!
I was tired of being in school. It wasn't a bad day, just the same as always. I think that was usually the problem. School days are pretty much the same, not to mention a bit slow, and I get bored. It's no wonder I always want to get out of here when school is close to getting closed. But it wasn't just that. Today was Halloween. My most favorite holiday of the year. I was looking forward to getting out of here and enjoy it like before.
I know that I'm eighteen and I sound like a eight year old who is rushed to get ready to put on a costume and get candy, but there are costumes for adults, too, so who cares really?
I didn't, that's for sure.
I loved the holiday since I was a little girl, and I KNOW that won't ever change.
I was so ready to enjoy this Halloween. But the thing with this year's is it was gonna be a bit different than all the consecutive Halloweens I went through. It was supposed to be special. Very special that not one person would expect...Never know...Never suspect.
Well...It wasn't 'magical' kind of special, but I think it'll be special. It was something I haven't done on the holiday before, that's why.
No, it wasn't going out partying or smoking pot, or do something more crazier like scaring Principal Hembry out of his gourd. No...Let's just say tonight will be all about me sharing Halloween night with someone who hasn't experienced it before. It'll be the first time I ever done that to someone....To someone that I care about.
I'm certain that was another reason why I was impatient. Well, actually, I felt a bit MORE impatient than usual, and probably have been this impatient for the past several days. I was waiting for this night to come. I was in a rush to share this night with my best friend. I felt like I couldn't wait any longer.
I just wish the stupid clock would go faster!
Staring at it, I kinda wanted to scream at the clock hands to spin quicker. But I knew that wouldn't make a difference. Plus the teacher, who was already done teaching us today's lesson, was still sitting behind his wide desk, so that would've been a problem for me. Don't want to get in trouble before school was out.
I sighed quietly through my nose. Relax, Molly. School will be out VERY soon. Your night will come so don't worry. And besides, you have something to do before the bell rings. I looked down at the open book on my desk. You got yourself a book to read! I smiled, focusing back on the pages in the book, ignoring the impatience that still welled up inside my head. It was just an ordinary book I checked out of the school library a couple days ago. It wasn't the first one. I read books from the library all the time. Reading always kept my patience in check. Certainly helps when I'm waiting for school to end.
I think reading right now has kept it calm a little bit but not so much. But school's almost over so I'm putting up with the time a bit more.
I just got done reading a sentence and flipped over a page. What I'm reading was 'Goosebumps, number 14, The Werewolf of Fever Swamp' by R. L. Stine. It was a children's book, but I didn't care. I liked reading kid stuff. Kinda nice to retract from reading very serious stories from other authors that some people here does. And besides that, I couldn't pick a different book for a special day like Halloween that was nearby. Well, maybe I could've picked out book number 11 of the Goosebumps series called 'The Haunted Mask', or number 48 titled 'Attack of the Jack-O-Lanterns', since they both obviously have a Halloween theme. But I didn't want either. I wanted a Goosebumps book with a werewolf in it.
This one was pretty convenient for a girl like me...A girl with a big secret that she's kept from people in this town.
While reading this particular book, I was thinking about my best friend waiting for me at home. He's going to have the time of his life. I can feel it.
By the time I finished a chapter, I realized that the minutes went by real quickly that time when the school bell finally rang. I let out an exasperated sigh, getting up from my seat. I muttered as I placed the bookmark in my book, "About time." I picked it up, then bent over to snatch up the math textbook also that I left on the floor beside the desk, and strolled along with the other students out to the hallway. I felt so relieved to get out of that quiet room. Even more relieved that the bell finally rang. Now it was time for me to get home.
I made my way down the corridor along with everyone else as they were eager to leave school like me, seeing Halloween decorations lined up on walls and ceiling throughout the hall. I eagerly headed for my locker, opened it up, and placed my math book in there. Lucky me I didn't have homework to take home. I was a little smart in school. I was good that way.
I grabbed the only item I wanted in there which was my backpack. But before I was about to close the locker, someone came over to see me, "Hey." I gazed at the face of Lou, a handsome, blonde headed jock with a big grin on his face.
Annoyance sprang up in my chest. Oh no, not him again. I spit out bitterly, "What do you want this time, Lou?"
Straight away, Lou asked, leaning his arm against a locker, "Your place is in the middle of the woods, ain't it?"
I glared, "You should know by now."
"Well, I was wondering maybe I could come over to your place and...You know. Talk to you." He held up his hands like he isn't planning something, "Hey, I know what you're thinking. Today's Halloween, and people like to play dumb jokes on Halloween. But I wouldn't come over and try to scare you like a madman. I'm a gentleman."
I retorted, "More like a scheming, cheating pig."
Lou's mouth dropped open, "Molly. You think I'm up to something? I told you, I'm not planning to scare you."
"No, you're planning something more stupid than that, and the answer's no." I quickly swung the backpack over my shoulder and slammed my locker with a loud clang, then rapidly turned and walked away from him with the Goosebumps book still in my hand.
Before I could get any further, Lou stopped me with a hand on my shoulder, "Molly, hold up." I rolled my eyes and sighed. Can't he just take the hint for once? I spun to face him. He said when he took his hand off me, "Look, I hardly ever talk to you. Practically lots of guys hardly ever talk to you. I think maybe you're a shy soul who needs to talk to someone." He devilishly smiled, "I'm the perfect guy to talk to."
I spat, "I know what you are and you're not perfect."
Lou frowned, "What are you talking about?"
I accused him, "Are you seriously playing dumb? I know how you are with girls. You go out with one for two months, maybe less, and then go out with another without saying I'm breaking up with you to one you're already with. You just go and do it. And you're after me cause I'm another statistic."
Lou denied it with him shaking his head fast, "That's not true. I don't see you as anything but a beautiful, lonely girl."
I smirked a bit, "You're right about the beautiful part." Then my lips went down and I narrowed my eyes again, "But I'm far from lonely and shy. You're trying to get into my pants." Lou groaned at that. I warned, "If I were you, I stay away from my house...My parents will be home and they wouldn't approve of boys sneaking up to see me."
That's when he smiled and chuckled, "Now you're being a liar. Your parents aren't home. They left today. They're on a business trip for the weekend. You're all alone till Monday."
I was standing in front of him, silent. He was actually telling the truth. I'll be living at my house alone till Monday, including today. And apparently he knows about it, and I was caught in my little lie. Probably because he's always nosy and asking around about girls he's after. What a snoop.
Lou said, stepping closer to me, "I think they might be feeling worried right now after leaving you alone. I bet they wouldn't mind letting me stay over." His hand reached to softly stroke my head, "They'd probably want someone to protect you from...I don't know. A burglar...Or an escaped serial killer..."
God, he doesn't give up! With my hand I swiftly pushed his arm down to get his away from me. I told him flat out, "No thanks. I already have someone for that."
The handsome pig tilted his head with a quizzical expression, "What? Who?"
"None of your business." I huffed, "Lou, I'm not going to keep doing this. You've done this last year and you're still doing it this year, and I'm getting tired of it. Why don't you act like an adult since this is your senior year, and LEAVE ME ALONE."
Lou formed a glare, "You're a senior too and you're not acting like an adult." Then his hand sharply shot out and snatched my book out of my hand.
Anger and annoyance welling inside me, I quickly reached for it, "Hey- Give it back!" But the jerk backed away.
Lou held the Goosebumps book in his hands, looking right at the cover with big bulging eyes. He mocked, "Look at this! Goosebumps? Come on!" He threw his eyes back on me, "That's what I mean by not acting like an adult!"
I angrily demanded, "Lou, I'm in a rush to get out of school and get home now give me that!" I made a grab for it again, but he sidestepped away. Damn it, why didn't I put it in my backpack when I grabbed it? I cried, "GIVE IT BACK!" Some other students were watching the scene as they went by but I didn't care.
Lou grumbled, waving the book in his hand, "You want your book back? Fine." He tossed it underhand at my feet, "Take it back." I scooped it up right away. I gaped at him, and he spoke with anger in his tone, "You can just have fun with this hero protecting you. I don't care." He gave me a two-finger salute, "Happy Halloween." With that, he stomped off in angry steps.
I sighed, putting my book in my bag. Thank god he's gone.
I wasn't kidding around that it wasn't the first time Lou's come after me and be a pig toward me. It was ridiculous. It always annoys the hell out of me when he comes after me. He just doesn't take the hint. He just doesn't get that he can't have me.
Understandably, I can see why Lou wouldn't. I am kinda beautiful, with a slim body, long brown hair and green eyes. And although he has been after me more times than I remember, there have been other boys who have tried to ask me out. Unlike Lou, the other boys were flattering. But I didn't want to go out with any of them. I'm not really into them.
They seem to get it. Only Lou never does.
I seriously doubt that Lou will leave me alone after our little argument. He may be angry right now after having another rejection from me, but he'll be back. I feel it.
Well, I'm happy this is my senior year. As soon as I'm graduated from high school, I won't ever have to see him again.
A familiar voice spoke from nearby, "You ok, Molly?" I glanced and found my other best friend, Suzanne, coming up to me with a concerned look. She was just another beautiful girl with pale, white skin, blonde hair that's in a ponytail, and eyes that were colored bright blue.
Suzanne...She was the first girl I befriended here. I liked being with her. I always thought of her as funny and a bit more tougher than me. I also knew that Halloween wasn't her favorite holiday of the year. It was Christmas. But that was alright with me. That wouldn't change anything between us. And even though she totally likes Christmas, she still has gone out on Halloween with me.
Though we both have different favorite holidays, we do have a certain thing in common...She doesn't like Lou also. She had a history of him dating her and then dumping her for another girl. She took it hard, and she hated that guy ever since. Sometimes she can't wait to kick his ass one day.
And sometimes I can see that happening. It's such a sight.
I answered, "Yeah. Just Lou pestering me again."
Suzanne's eyes showed anger, "I know. He took your book from you and picked on you about it! That's the worst he's ever done."
I asked when I wrinkled my brow, "You saw everything?"
They softened up before Suzanne replied, "No. Just the ending."
"Well you could have backed me up by trying to grab it out of his hand."
She stared at me a moment before she giggled and shrugged with her hands, "I was ABOUT to. But he gave it back to you before me."
I smiled and giggled back, "I guess I can't be mad at you, then."
"Course you can't. Cause I didn't do anything wrong." She asked with concern again, "Are you sure you're ok?"
"Yes, I'm fine. Really." I brushed my hair back with a hand, "I'm just glad that was over. I can't stand him."
Suzanne suggested, "Maybe you should just go to the principal and talk to him about it. He'll probably give Lou a lecture about the consequences of sexual harassment." Her lips made a big smile, "Hey, maybe he might expel the dickhole!"
I shook my head, "Forget it. Lou probably wouldn't care, and talking to the principal probably won't stop him."
My best friend said, "Perhaps you should kick him in the dick when he talks to you again."
My head shot to the right with a tiny smile on my face, "That, or someone should kick his butt. He needs that."
Suzanne told me, "I'll probably do that for you...If given the chance."
I giggled. My eyes looked around the hallway, noticing me and Suzanne are alone. I uttered, "Whoa." I said to her, putting my backpack back on my shoulder, "Let's get out of here, Suzanne. We're the only ones in the hall."
"Yeah, what are we waiting for? Come on!" The two of us began to stroll down the corridor together. Then Suzanne brought it up with a giggle, "By the way, I did try to tell you."
"Huh?" I looked at her beside me, confused, "Tell me what?"
"About reading kids books like Goosebumps. Someone was bound to pick on you about it and I was right."
I rolled my eyes, "Give me a break. I was doing all right till Lou came around."
Suzanne said as we were getting close to the entrance of the school, "Hey, just looking out for my best friend."
I smirked, "I know. But I can take care of myself."
"Yeah, until you come crawling to me for help to help steal back your book."
I laughed a bit. I said, "Don't worry, I won't." She giggled at my statement as we both exited Platt School.
Buses with students on board were already taking off as we stepped onto the sidewalk. I saw a few other students walking home away from school grounds, and a few more and a few teachers were heading for the parking lot to head to their vehicles. My car was among them, and me and Suzanne were heading for the lot.
Both of us slowing down our pace, I moaned as I breathed in the fresh, cool, fall air, "It's about time I'm out of there."
Suzanne giggled, "I was thinking the same thing."
I giggled too, only deeply, "No, I mean I'm TOTALLY glad school's over with. I was getting tired of waiting. I'm so excited about tonight."
She joked, "You're always excited for Halloween. Make it sound like you're so addicted in eating candy and can't wait to eat a lot of it."
I gave her somewhat of a glare, "You know I don't eat too much candy."
Suzanne laughed. Then she nodded, "I know."
I smiled, "Better know that. I don't like fattening myself up."
"Oh I do know that, trust me. Matter of fact, I do know you're REALLY excited about going through with your plan that has nothing to do with candy."
I replied, "Got that right."
Then Suzanne asked in a worried tone, "But Molly, are you sure your idea's a good one? I think maybe-"
"Don't worry." I insisted, "No one will know. I'm sure of it." I can tell Suzanne still wasn't too sure that my idea was a best idea. But I was sure it is. She just needs to be calm about it. I quickly changed the subject, "By the way, what are you dressing as? I still don't know what you're gonna be tonight."
Suzanne apparently went with it when her mouth formed up a teasing smile, "It's still a secret."
I whined, "No fair. I told you what I was going to be and you won't."
She defended her decision, "But this costume I'm wearing is the most definitive one I ever wore! Guys and girls in our class and below will be talking about it for a lifetime."
And that was the reason for the surprise. Honestly Suzanne has went out for Halloween before and didn't act this way, but this year she is. It's just silly that she's worried about finding and wearing a costume that's 'definitive' as she put it. I honestly wouldn't care if it was or not. That didn't matter to me. I'd like her costume no matter what it looked liked. Good or bad.
I'm sure the reason why Suzanne's doing all this this year is because this is our senior year in school, and she was wanting to do something for people in school to REALLY remember her by. To define herself.
Throughout high school, she's been a cheerleader all the way up to senior year. But that probably didn't seem enough for her. She wanted to do more.
And thus, her costume idea must have came when October draw near.
Even though I don't really care, I can understand the reason. Whatever her costume is, for her sake, I hope it helps her succeed.
I rolled my eyes after she told me how 'definitive' her costume's going to be again. I said, "Great. This is a lot worse than waiting for school to end."
Suzanne laughed and suggested, "Just read your book and you'll be fine till then."
I remarked sarcastically, "Gee, maybe I'll just do that." I asked when we got near my car, "Anyways, where do you want to meet in town again? At the town square?"
"Yep." Suzanne nodded and giggled, "I know I'm a bit nervous for Kyler, but I still can't wait to see your guy's faces when you-"
I rolled my eyes again when I opened my car door, "Look at your 'definitive' costume. I know. I know. You sound like a broken record."
Suzanne narrowed her eyes, "So much for being supportive."
"I am. Just tired of being kept in the dark." I threw my backpack onto the passenger seat, then piled behind the steering wheel. I shot her a smile as I pushed the key into the ignition, "I'll see you at seven thirty. Ok?"
I knew Suzanne wasn't mad at me at all cause she immediately smiled back. She waved, "Alright, see you tonight!" I slammed the door and slipped the seatbelt on as she turned and wandered out of my car's path. Then I turned it on, and drove off away from the school parking lot.
*****
I gripped the steering wheel as the car took me on the gravel road between a line of trees, the bright afternoon sky obscured by them. You'd probably think that I lived in town and I drove to school because I'm lazy at walking there in the morning...Well, that wasn't true. I would have strolled to school if I actually lived in town. But thing is I don't.
I live in the woods outside the town of Platt. And I was the only person I know who lived in them.
Without the radio on, I can hear rocks being crushed by the tires. To tell you the truth, I haven't lived in the woods for my WHOLE life. Before I was nine, my mom and dad and I lived in another town called Bentley, which was far away from here. But a bit after my ninth birthday, my parents decided that we should move, since they wanted a lot more privacy. So, we moved away, came here, and I changed schools.
I remember how strange it was living around here, not to mention it was quiet, cause there weren't any houses real close by. I remember missing a few friends that I made in Bentley too, since they didn't live nearby and couldn't play with me anymore. Even though I have met Suzanne a bit after I moved here and became fast friends with her, she never came here. Because around that time she was scared to be IN the woods, especially at night.
Yes. Back then, Suzanne was afraid of them. She may be a tough girl, but she can be afraid of some things. She isn't afraid of the woods anymore, just to clarify.
And it was not only her who didn't come here after I moved. A few other friends I was slowly starting to make in Platt never came here either.
At the beginning...It was kinda lonely out here.
But then, one day, about a month after moving...I didn't feel alone here anymore.
My eyes darted left and right, wondering if this certain someone was watching me from afar. I didn't see anybody, but I was sure I'll see him at my house. He's always expecting me a little after three.
I drove till the cabin I live in came to view. A tall, two-floor cabin with a sloping roof. I think you can see why me and my family haven't moved away from this place in years. I didn't think too much of it back then, but it's beautiful. I pulled up the drive and got out of the car with my backpack on my shoulder. I slammed my door, gazing around the area outside. Where is he? He's usually never late to see me. Has he got something else to do?
I stood and listened. Nothing but the small, gust of wind blowing near my ears at first...Then I heard something very closely stepping on a leaf.
I spun and cried, "CAUGHT YOU!"
"Ah!" My tall, hairy best friend jumped back with wide eyes. He breathed heavily in fright.
I laughed at his expression, slapping my knee.
He glared. He whined, "Ahhh, Molly! I was supposed to scare you!"
"Hahaha!" I cried through my fit of laughter, "Looks like I got you first, wolfy!" I suffered another bout of laughter, leaning my back against the car for support.
His snout made a growl, "I'll get you next time!"
Finally, I quit laughing and talked to him in a calm, playful voice, "Oh, give me a break, Kyler. It wasn't my fault I heard you stepping behind me. That was yours."
Kyler gazed down at his beastly feet, kicking a fallen leaf away, "Yeah. Probably because of that." He moaned, "I hate fall season. Why didn't you rake some leaves around the cabin? Would have saved me from this humiliation."
I crossed my arms with a raised, playful brow, "Because it's never my job to rake around the house. It's yours."
Kyler's jaw dropped open, "What?!" He shot me another glare, "I'm not supposed to rake your leaves! It's your yard! It's not MY responsibility!"
"Then don't complain about leaves that are on the ground. You just need to be more careful when sneaking up on people. And other than that...Don't you say hello anymore?" I blinked my eyes cutely.
Kyler's muzzle finally showed me a smile, "I'm sorry. Hello, Molly, how are you?"
I replied with a giggle, "Well that's a start." His furry hand shot out and was rubbing the top of my head playfully, messing up my hair. A thing he does sometimes when he got older. I shoved his hand away, barking, "Hey, cut it out!"
He shot back, his fluffy tail wagging behind him, "Now we're even." I slugged his muscular chest, but it didn't have any effect on him. He just let out a mocking chuckle.
I just stood and stared at him, shortly smiling at him. So that was my best friend. My number one best friend to be exact, second being Suzanne. The one I was gonna take to town on Halloween night. To give him a taste of Halloween he never had before. He never experienced the holiday before, and there was a reason why he never did. Actually, he was the secret that I was keeping from everyone in Platt.
Kyler...Is not a human.
Kyler...Is a werewolf.
A werewolf with grey fur and yellow eyes. A LIVING, BREATHING werewolf.
Something that you hear in movies and fairy tales. Only I'm not in a fairy tale. I'm not looking at a person in a costume. Kyler was REAL. He was real, and standing in front of me.
Now, you're probably thinking that I should run away from him in terror, right? Run for my life and find the cops, right? Or find a gun with silver bullets and kill him with one, right? Well...I didn't have to. As you can tell...He wasn't going to hurt me. Or KILL me for that matter. He hasn't done that to me EVER. Not once.
Here's the story with him...Kyler was the reason why I didn't feel lonely living in the woods anymore. It was just one day when I was wandering around in the woods all by myself. I was trying to find something to do. At first I asked mom and dad if they could play with me, but they were busy doing stuff. I remember what mom was doing, chores I think. I kinda forgot what dad was up to though. I think he was on his computer, probably doing something for his job.
Anyway, for something to do since they were busy, I went walking in the woods. They told me not to go too far in them, but I didn't listen. I walked for a long time...Till I realized I was lost. I was getting worried. I called for my parents, but I think they couldn't hear me. I tried to find my way back but I still got turned around at every attempt. My feet were getting tired from walking, so I found a tree to sit under. I was taking a break, but I was also hoping that if they were searching for me, they'd find me if I stayed put.
I don't know how long I waited. A long time, maybe. While I was sitting around with my head down, I think I was feeling sleepy. I closed my eyes and slept for who knows how long. Then finally...I felt something close to my head. Something sniffing me...Like a dog. I woke up feeling alarmed and looked at whatever was sniffing me. And what I saw...Wasn't a dog. It was a canine on two legs. A werewolf.
A SMALL werewolf actually. It was about my size. I should have been scared, but I didn't scream or anything. When the werewolf found that it had been caught, it backed a bit away from me. I wasn't scared, I was more surprised at what found me. I never saw anything like it before. At that time, I never knew what it was called. At first, in my mind I called it a two legged dog.
That small werewolf who found me all alone, for the record, was Kyler.
I was sure Kyler never met anything like me before I moved in the woods. I was certain he was just curious about me...As much as I was to him. I did reach out to pet him, though I was a little nervous. He was too, but he didn't run away at all. He actually let me pet him, mostly behind the ears. I can tell he liked it.
Since I never saw anything like him before, I was pretty curious if he talked. I did ask him 'Who are you?', and he did reply. He told me his name, then he asked and I told him mine. He also asked if I was a human, and I replied yeah. I did ask him what he was and he said he was a werewolf. I have heard of a werewolf before I moved to the cabin, and before then, according to what my family told me, I thought werewolves didn't exist. That surprised me too, to say the least. I told him where I lived, but he didn't tell me where he lived. I then asked if he had a family, and he said yes. Actually lived in a big family. A pack of werewolves. A couple related to him and some were not. It was interesting.
During our very first conversation, I began to feel a little better since I got myself lost in the woods. I was happy to talk to someone while I was.
After some more small talk, I did explain to him that I was lost, and I wanted to get home. Kyler offered to help, telling me he had an idea where I lived. Then...He led me all the way back to my house without a problem at all. He wasn't joking that he knew. He probably must've seen the place more than once from a distance.
Speaking of distance, he was scared to come closer to my house, that I remember, judging by the nervous look in his eyes. I hugged him a thank you and asked him if we could see each other again sometime. Kyler declined, explaining that his pack, especially his parents would not approve. Cause his pack didn't trust humans, fearing they would attack them on sight, and the werewolves would've fought back too if they feel threatened. I told him that me and my family would never do that, but that didn't change his mind. He told me to never come in the woods again, also said goodbye, and left me alone.
But I didn't want to let him go. I may not have known Kyler all that well at first and just met him, but I liked him. Kyler was interesting and cute to be with. Since I knew he lived in the woods like me, I was desperate to have him be with me from then on as my friend. So I journeyed in the woods again the next day, trying to find the little werewolf pup. Although I was sure I got lost again, I did manage to find him drinking at a stream a while later.
Kyler was shocked to see me in the woods again. He warned me to go away. He was afraid his family will find me with him. But I didn't back down. I wanted to stay with him. I wanted him to be MY friend. Kyler eventually gave up, and then soon...He got happy as we hung and played around like chase each other and wrestle, talk and throw some jokes at each other, and we even threw rocks in the stream too.
We were together for a long time, till finally, it was getting dark outside, and I can hear something that I can never forget. A howl. It was his family calling out for him. Kyler was worried out of his mind. He told me to get home now, but problem was I didn't know where I lived again. Right then, Kyler had to take me home once again. He grabbed my wrist, rushing me to get me back to where I belonged.
And that's when it happened. On our way home, one werewolf, an adult, taller than he is, came out of the corner and confronted us. It turned out to be Kyler's father, Morten. He was growling at me, demanding to know what he was doing with ME. I hid behind Kyler. I was a total chicken shit looking at him. I had to hide behind something! He was scaring me to death. Morten did howl and not very long later, a few other werewolves came from different directions. They were all standing there with their threatening eyes staring at me. I remember one of them showing their teeth when growling.
Kyler screamed at them, begging them not to hurt me. He was protecting me. He had every right to protect me. I was becoming his friend. He didn't want me to die. His father, and his mother, Aratha, both told their son that I'm human and it's dangerous to be with me. I was putting their pack in danger. But Kyler fought back. He believed that me and my family wouldn't hurt them, and he was standing his ground on that.
He was one brave pup.
They fought and argued for like a little bit. Finally, that's when I heard my mom calling out for me since it was late outside and I wasn't home yet. Dad did too. When one of the other werewolves, who seemed a bit more paranoid than Kyler's parents were, heard them hollering for me, he said that they should kill me now while they have the chance. He was probably afraid that I'd tell my parents about them, and then a hunt will start on their hides.
Kyler pleaded them not to do it...With tears in his eyes. I can remember how wet the fur near his eyes looked. He was literally begging them not to do it. He was telling them that I was his friend, telling them we talked to each other, make each other laugh, play together, and he liked being with me. I was worried that my life was ending, I was shaking to death. I had a few tears in my eyes too.
Then, Morten ordered the other werewolves with him to stand down. Then he looked right at me. He saw how frightened I became. I think other than Kyler's words, that probably saved my life. I think he pitied me. He decided to take me home, and his wife did too. I know she saw how I looked too. Kyler was so relieved, very happy that I was not gone from his life. And I was too, I was smiling and practically stopped shaking.
They walked me home as mom and dad were still hollering for me. I finally made it back, running into their arms. They were standing out in our yard with their flashlights out. They were worried to death. Then, with their flashlights, they saw the werewolves. They screamed at the sight of them, I can remember their expressions on their faces, and were probably thinking about running into the cabin with me. But they didn't get the chance. I told them to calm down, telling them they wouldn't hurt us.
Kyler's father told them that I was right. They didn't come to harm them. They were just taking me home. Dad and mom were confused as hell, it almost made me laugh seeing their faces. They knew they were werewolves, and they were just SHOCKED. They were even more surprised that they could TALK!
Thanks to me, after I explained everything right off the bat, and proved it to them by bringing Kyler over and letting me pet him, they were more calmer than before. I was glad. I didn't want them to be afraid of Kyler and his family.
Morten, Aratha, and the other grown werewolves with them were still cautious about my parents. Morten demanded to know the truth from them. He wanted to make absolutely sure that they wouldn't hunt down their pack after they know their existence. My mom and dad assured them they won't, but they also told them not to give them a reason to...Like hurting me.
That was good enough for Morten...And so it was then we all decided to co-exist in these woods.
And from that moment...Kyler and I's friendship began to grow.
When I wasn't at school, and wasn't talking and playing with Suzanne and a few other friends in town, I would come into the woods and happily find Kyler. We'd talk, tell each other how we've been, and get to know each other more when the opportunity arises, and we'd play with each other too. Kyler even took me to his home, which was just a huge cave deep in the forest. And I also took him inside MY cave. My cabin, in case you didn't get my meaning.
I shown him a lot of things in it. Lots of human things basically. Including some books, which he was curious what stories humanity has written, and since he couldn't read, I started reading stories to him sometime after the day I showed them. And I still do to this day. He was surprised and impressed at all the things I showed him. I can tell he lived in the woods all his life. And by that remark, after we showed each other our places, at times I actually lived in the woods, by spending the night in Kyler's cave. And he has at times spent the night in mine. We'd usually sleep by each other when we spend the night in one another's home.
Day by day, we grew more closer. One thing evident about it was I gave him a cute nickname at one time cause of what he is...Wolfy. I've called him that since then, and still do, as you heard earlier.
And it wasn't just us. Even my family and his family grew fond of each other. They talk to each other too, when Morten and Aratha feel that they want to talk to my parents, and got to know each other. When the time came, dad occasionally invites the werewolf pack for a barbecue dinner he grills out in our yard. The werewolves always enjoyed that. They obviously never had barbecued food before and loved it! All of us even go camping together when we had the chance. Mom and dad would pack some tents, and we'd spend the night in the woods with the werewolves. I can remember the times when me and Kyler slept in the same sleeping bag together. God I can remember how hot I felt in that thing, and it was probably because of how warm his fur is!
Though while me and my family have known about the werewolves, evidently nobody in Platt knew about them but us. Maybe not even the whole state...And the country. And that's exactly how we wanted to keep it, and I'm certain the werewolves wanted the same. My family and I never told anybody, in fear that we would put them in danger. We kept it a secret from anybody who doesn't live in the woods. Though I did break it once when I introduced Suzanne to Kyler one day. But she was the only outsider who knows about them. I didn't break it again ever since.
As years went by, as we got older, nothing changed between me and Kyler. As you can see, we still see each other in the woods and near the cabin. We still talk to each other. We still play with each other if we want to, even though we're too old for that stuff. A new thing had developed by him too. He's a bit protective of me, cares for my safety and my feelings. Cause one time, a coyote tried to attack me, and he saved my life by killing that thing without mercy. Another time an opossum tried to chase me, and he scared that thing away. Not only that, when I talk to him when I feel sad or something was up, he'd listen with his ears straight up, like he was truly concerned about me.
I can tell you...He's still the same Kyler I met a long time ago. Only he's tall like his parents and less cute and a bit more threatening.
But...I still love him. Even when he tries to scare me every once in a while and messes up my hair!
Speaking of my hair, I complained while I was starting to straighten it with my hands, "You know I wish you hadn't messed up my do."
Kyler giggled, "Why? I think that look always suited you. You look wild like a werewolf."
I replied while trying to still work it, "Well you know I don't think so."
"And that sucks." He shook his muzzle in half playfulness and half seriousness, "I'm always disappointed every time you fix it."
I said, "Too bad."
"Come on, why do you always have to fix your hair? I'm serious, you look good when its wild. But you always mess it up by brushing it. It's stupid."
My hands dropped down when they were finally done fixing my hair, "It's a human girl thing."
"Well I still think it's stupid. I mean, look at me." He gestured at his own self, "I don't ever brush my hair."
I crossed my arms with a knowing look, "True, and you don't let me brush it, hairy."
He glared and complained, "That's because hair brushes HURT. They get stuck in my fur and when you try to pull it off me it hurts. Remember you actually tried that, Molly?"
I reminisced, "Sure I do. You were acting like a brat."
Kyler shot back, "Because it HURT."
"Well I was trying to make you look pretty and you were being bratty, fur brain." I pointed out the issue, "And for the record, the reason why that brush kept getting stuck in your fur and hurting you is BECAUSE you were not wet when I tried." I shrugged my shoulders, "Well, I guess that was my fault on my part for not getting you wet."
"Hmph. Well, I don't need a fine brushing anyway." The werewolf in front of me shot up his smug face in the air, "I look fine without one."
I smirked, "Guess you do...Fur brain." I let out a breath and asked, "How's your day by the way? I didn't see you this morning before I left home."
Kyler agreed, "I know. I was kinda disappointed at not saying goodbye to you. I did get a chance to say bye to your folks though. Least they had someone say bye to them." He stuck his tongue out.
I cried, "I DID say bye to them!"
His throat let out a playful, puppy whine, "But you didn't say bye to ME."
I laughed, "Oh, what are you whining about? I gave you plenty of goodbyes in the past, and you're acting like me not telling you bye this morning's the end of the world!"
Kyler explained, "It's a tradition and you broke it."
I rolled my eyes, "I broke it plenty of times I'm sure. Get over it." I planted my hands on my hips, "Now, despite your 'disappointment', how was your day?"
Kyler answered, "If you must know, it's the same as always when you're not here. Just quiet."
I raised a playful brow, "Why, have you been waiting for me here all day?"
He frowned, "No. I went back to my pack and stayed with them for a little while. Nothing new with them. Then I got bored and it felt like it was getting close to your time to come home, so I came back here. I probably wasn't here for long."
I giggled a bit, "Ok, then."
Now it was Kyler's turn to ask, "What about you? How was school today?"
I playfully replied, "Well what do you think?"
He giggled, his nose twitching, "I don't know. Let me think." The werewolf pretended to put his thoughts into it by putting his hand to his chin and looking up to the sky, "You got bored, like me, tired of waiting for school to end, and you're glad to get the hell outa there." He gazed at me, "Right?"
I chuckled, nodding, "You know me all too well. But you didn't think of one little thing."
Kyler tilted his head, "What?"
I turned and began walking away from him, "Lou harassed me in school."
He followed behind me, replying in annoyance, "Again?"
I said as I got around my car, "Yeah. And it happened after the final bell rang, before I'd leave the building. It was so sudden. It's ridiculous."
I can feel his eyes on me as he spoke, "Ridiculous is right. He's bothered you about...How many times?"
I stopped for a moment. I shrugged my shoulders with me looking over one of them, "I lost count."
"Exactly." His arm waved to the left with an angry expression, "Enough is enough with him. Someone should really do something about that guy, cause I'm tired of it."
I turned my body a bit to him, "You're tired of it? Can't be any worse than me feeling tired of him bothering me."
"Believe me, I think we're both tired on the same level."
I smirked, "No kidding? Why is that? Am I not the only one who has that sort of problem?"
Kyler asked in confusion, "What are you talking about?"
I giggled that time, "You being harassed by wolf girls in the pack? Are you tired because of that?"
His eyes went wide, "What?"
I let out a laugh, "Aw come on, wolfy! They can't be worse than Lou. They must not be pigs like him. They must REALLY like you. I mean gosh, why wouldn't they harass you?" I eyed at his muscular chest and his furry gonads between his legs, cracking, "You look like you have things to impress them."
"MOLLY!" I laughed a bit harder than before. Kyler protested, "That's not why I'm tired on your level!"
I was down to giggles. I stated, "I was just joking." Kyler looked away. I think my joking around embarrassed him a bit. I can see a blush a bit despite his grey furred cheeks. I snickered, then started talking to him like he was a puppy, "Awww, poor, wolfy."
He looked back at me and said as a smile appeared on his canine muzzle, "Stop that." I playfully rolled my eyes and went back to pacing with my eyes on the mailbox. As he continued to follow, he asked, "So what did Lou do this time anyway?"
I said over my shoulder, "The usual. Try to get into my pants. If you want the full story, he proposed that he'd come over here and just talk to me. Because he thinks I'm a shy, lonely girl that needs someone to talk to."
Kyler said in disgust, "That's stupid. You ain't shy and lonely."
"I know! That time he was asking for my permission to come over to my house." I mentioned another persuading thing Lou said, "And that's not all. He also said that he knows my parents have left home for the weekend and I'll be alone. And he mentioned that they would have wanted him to come over, so he'd keep an eye out and protect me from a burglar or a serial killer or some crap like that." I stopped in front of the mailbox and opened it, revealing a bunch of envelopes, "I'm serious. He doesn't know when to quit."
The werewolf replied after I pulled them out and started looking through them, "Course he doesn't know when to quit. He's chasing after you like a bitch in heat." I giggled from that statement. Bitch in heat. Geez. I was reading one envelope when he said, "Maybe you should've gave him permission to come here. Perhaps I would have gave him a good scare and he wouldn't bother you anymore."
I turned to face him with a smirk, "Not a bad idea. I can imagine him screaming like a girl."
Then he added, "Or maybe I can just kill him and see if he screams like a girl while I'm doing it."
I wrinkled my face, waving my hand in a not-so-sure voice, "Ahhh, maybe leave out the bloodshed and put on the scares."
His muzzle made a grin, "Why not? Least you won't have to worry if scaring him off doesn't work."
I gave him a knowing look, "You know the laws. It'd make you a murderer if you did."
Kyler raised his claws, flexed them, "Or would it?"
"KYLER."
His limbs dropped to his sides when a chuckle escaped his chest, "I'm kidding." Then he asked, "Just to make it clear, he's not coming over, is he?"
Smirking, I answered, "Nope. He thinks I already have someone over to look out for me."
He swung his fist down and cursed, "Damn. I was hoping I was gonna scare him!" I giggled, patting his shoulder as I walked past him, this time to the cabin. I heard Kyler ask me in a pity tone, "Molly...Do you know why I feel tired on the same level as yours?"
I took a guess, "Because I tell you what Lou has done to me every time I come home from school, and it feels like you're in my place?"
He responded, "Right." He sighed, "I'm just so tired of hearing him doing that to you. Chasing after you even when you tell him no. It makes me mad. I wish there was something I could do about him."
I stopped and turned around to talk to him, "You can't do anything about it."
He dropped his head, looking at the ground with his tail drooping down behind him, "I know...And that's the problem. I hate it when he does that to you and I can't do anything about it. He keeps getting away with that, and I feel like I'm not protecting you."
I nodded, "With me and you as best friends, I understand that. And I'm doing alright. I always handled him."
His muzzle slowly turned away. He admitted, "...It's more than that. When I think about what he's done to you...Sometimes...Sometimes I literally feel like I want to kill him. You know...Go to town in the night, find his house, and rip him apart...Literally...So he would never do that again. I joked about killing him a minute ago...But I think he deserves that kind of treatment...Considering the treatment he always gives you."
That kinda shocked me. I never heard him say that about anybody before. He really would kill SOMEONE to protect me...
My hand reached up and touched his cheek. He didn't pull away when I had him look at me. I confessed, "I admit, sometimes, I feel the same way. But we both know shedding blood won't do any good. I get you're angry at him, but you shouldn't kill somebody because of me. I know you have killed an animal to protect me, but this is different. This isn't right." I shook my head a little bit, "I've known you for a long time...You're not a monster...You're better than that."
Kyler's eyes stared back. They blinked twice.
"I don't ever want you to say something like that again. Don't even think about it anymore. I don't want you to become a monster. I don't like monsters...I like you." I made a smile of reassurance for him, "Listen, I am fine right now. You shouldn't worry so much about me. And besides, Suzanne's got my back outside your home. She always does. And when she isn't around, I can still handle him. I may not be tough like you and her...But I'm not that weak."
Kyler said after a moment of silence passed between us, "Yeah...You seem to be."
"Happy you know it. And Kyler...I want you to promise me something. Ok?"
He stammered a bit, "Wh-...What is it?"
My reassured expression melted off when I said with my eyes pleading, "...When the time comes when you're angry and want to kill the human you hate the most...Promise me you won't do it. I believe in you that you won't, but promise me that. Ok? Please."
Kyler gazed at me for a long time, then he finally nodded, "Ok...I promise."
I smiled again, then wrapped my arms around his huge torso and hugged him, shutting my eyes, burying the side of my face into his soft fur. I can hear his heart beat in his chest. Kyler returned the hug, his arms more tighter around me than mine around him.
I heard him utter, "I love you."
My eyes shot open in surprise. Did he just say that? I never heard him say that before. I smiled once more and replied with those words in return, "I love you too, wolfy." We stood there and hugged for a long time, till I felt like I was done with it. He let me go, and I was backing up from him. I commented, "You know, Kyler...I never thanked you for your concern about Lou. It's not cool to think about literally killing someone...Though it is sweet that you care."
Kyler's muzzle twitched up a smile, "Ah, it's no problem. You would've done the same to me for when I'm chased by a female werewolf." I laughed and so did he. I whirled around on him, heading for the cabin's front door.
I stopped at the door and faced him, "Alright, so...Do you remember the plan for tonight?"
Kyler cocked his head, "What plan?"
He forgot?! I bellowed, "You don't remember the plan?!"
He just gaped at me, standing there in silence.
I gave him a couple hints, "You know, Halloween night? You coming with me to town and experience Halloween for once?"
He gasped, then nodded three times, "Oh, right! I remember! Tonight's Halloween! Your favorite holiday!"
I rolled my eyes, moaning, "I can't believe you forgot."
Kyler shot me a glare, "Sorry but my failed attempt to scare you when you got home along with our conversation about brushes and our tender moment we just shared made me forget!"
I grinned, "You're forgiven." I shooed him away, "Well since you now remember, just head back home and tell your parents that you're going to be staying over my house tonight. And meet me back here when the sky starts to set. Alright? And don't tell anybody in your pack about the plan or they'll stop you."
Kyler smiled back and nodded in acknowledgement, "I know. I won't. I can't wait to see you in your costume again."
"Me too." I pointed to the woods, "Now get out of here." Kyler did so, dashing for the trees. I let out a breath after he disappeared in them. Alright. Now it's time for me to eat. Then I'll wait around a while for night to come closer and then get myself ready for Halloween. I went inside the cabin, shutting the door behind me. I paced to the dining room table, and both dropped the mail I picked up and the backpack I was carrying on my shoulder onto it.
Before I could move to find something to eat, I was just standing around, thinking about Kyler. Gosh, the way he's concerned for me...I don't think any guy I know at school is like that. I seriously doubt Lou would act this way towards all the girls he dated.
I don't think I'd meet anybody else quite like him.
Then I was thinking about the plans for next year...And they made me glum. I might not see him again when I go away to college. I never been that apart from him before. We've always been together.
How can I tell him that? He'll get so worried about me...Not to mention miss me. Miss me so very much.
I'd miss him too...
Suddenly, tears filled up my eyes. I held my hand to my face and broke out a sob.
Oh, how can I tell him?
I have to tell him soon...But how?
Kyler...
*****
In my bedroom, I checked myself out in the mirror, admiring the way I look.
Since night was close by, I was gearing up for Halloween in my upstairs bedroom. I managed to get my costume on like I did the last time. I was dressing as a classic character from a fairy tale...Little Red Riding Hood, with a red hooded cape, and a knee length white, red and black dress with a peasant top, attached with a lace-up, corset style bodice and black stitch detailing. I really looked good in it. Kinda sexy if you asked me. Kyler even said so when I showed him this the other day. Very impressed.
I was glad to have got this. My costume was fitting for a special night like this. Me, as Little Red Riding Hood, walking with a werewolf. It's perfect!
I smiled at myself. Alright. Kyler might show up back here any minute. Time to get a move on. I turned myself away from the mirror, picking up my family's small picnic basket that was perfect for my image for the costume. Can't be Little Red Riding Hood without a picnic basket. I hurried myself out of my room and headed downstairs for the front door. Emerging outside, I saw the sky that already turned orange. The sun was setting...And the night drew near.
A voice greeted me upon exiting, "Molly." I turned my gaze and saw Kyler coming up to me. He had a smile on his snout when he gazed upon my costume. He praised, "Wow...You look great in that thing again."
I giggled and bent over to bow, "Why thank you...Grandma." Since Kyler knew what I was meaning, since my parents told him that fairy tale before, he snickered. I went on as I stood upright, "And may I say you have such big eyes tonight!"
He chuckled, playfully going along with this, "All the better to see you in a night like this."
I pointed at his hands, "And gosh your hands have gotten bigger since we last talked! Why is that, grandma?"
"Because they're much better to hug you with!" I happily cried when he wrapped his arms around me and lifted my feet off the ground. He spun me around, laughing his head off along with me.
I was starting to get a little dizzy. I was begging through laughter, "Put me down! Put me down!"
He said when we stopped spinning around, "As you wish, my lovely granddaughter." He put my form back on the ground, both of us breathing heavily. Kyler remarked, "Man...I can never forget that story. It's the only funny one I know of about my kind."
I nodded with a giggle let out, "Yeah...It's cute."
He commented with his eyes clearly focused on me, "You do look good in it. No joke about it."
I said in gratitude, "Thanks." I then made a joke, "And you look nice in YOUR costume too."
I rolled my eyes, "Please. I don't look fake."
I snickered, then cleared my throat, "So...You ready to go?"
He nodded, "Oh yeah. I've felt ready since a few hours ago."
I pulled the red hood over my skull, and started to walk away from the cabin with my basket held between my arm, "Alright. Let's go."
But he didn't move yet. He just stood there with a confused expression on his face as it followed my movements, "Wait." I stopped and looked at him. His face gestured at my car, "Aren't we going to use the car to get to town?"
I shook my head slowly, "No. I think it's more natural that we'd just walked there. I don't have to park my car anywhere in town and you wouldn't miss a thing while you're on foot."
He shrugged with his arms, agreeing, "Yeah, guess you make a good point there." His form caught up till he stood beside me, "Let's go. I shall escort you, Ms. Riding Hood."
I grinned, "Such a gentleman." We started to stroll further and further away from my cabin. I asked again, "By the way, what about your pack? Does anyone suspect anything?"
"Nope. Not a thing." He gazed at me, "Wouldn't worry about any werewolves stopping us."
I had a worried look on my face, "But did anyone follow you?" I threw my cautious gaze around the woods, "I don't want to get in trouble with your parents if anyone finds out-"
He insisted, "Relax, Moll. We're fine. I'm sure we're in the clear."
I was nervous for another moment, but I took his word for it. I mumbled, "Ok...Great."
And so we began to make our way for town on foot. For a short while we strolled on the gravel drive leading to my cabin, then we made it to the highway, casually walking beside it, following it to Platt.
Now, I'm sure you already know my plan and you're probably thinking like Suzanne, worried for my hairy best friend, seeing there's a fatal flaw in my plan and it was a VERY bad idea. But thing is, I don't think it was. Cause every year on Halloween in Platt, there'd be people running around on the streets dressed in costumes. And that got me thinking...Why not? With Kyler looking like a monster during the holiday, nobody would think he was real, and he can explore my town and see Halloween for the first time in his life.
No doubt I had thought a little bit that it was a bit risky, since he does have some qualities that count him as...Real. It was like he said...He's not fake. But, I wasn't worrying too much about it. Because Kyler knows how to make himself a little less real. I told him before that as long as he doesn't do too much to reveal himself, like talking with his mouth, twitch his ears, growl, snarl, and wag his tail around like a silly dog, everything will be ok.
Which I think it will. He just has to stick to the rules and he'll do great. Then we'll probably be back home by ten o'clock.
Sounds like a good plan, right?
I think so. It's the best plan I ever came up with!
And I was certain I was right. Along the way to town on the highway, a guy in a pickup truck did stop if we wanted a ride. And after I, alone, declined, he praised my costume, and KYLER'S before going on his way. We realized that my plan was working. That guy literally thought he was a costume! That he wasn't real. That person didn't suspect him as a real werewolf at all. And not only that, but a few other vehicles did find us walking beside the paved road. None of them stopped to give us a ride like that guy did. I assumed nobody in each car that drove past us didn't think he was real also, otherwise the cops probably would have been after Kyler, or maybe one car would've stopped, pulled out a gun and started firing at him, just to supposedly save me. Nothing like that happened, and that must meant I had assumed correctly.
I was happy none of those people didn't think Kyler's real. That was exactly what I wanted. A nice start, I'd say.
After a long time, with the night sky looming above us, we finally made it to town, the streets littered with lights and Halloween decorations at every turn. Suddenly, shortly after entering town, Kyler was getting nervous. He showed that with his whining.
I turned to him and asked in concern, "What's the matter?"
The werewolf let out a quivering breath, ears flat against his skull, and tail tucked between his legs, "I don't like this..."
Gosh, he was brave walking all the way down here and now he's took a different turn. Can't blame him really. He's never walked into town before. I walked up and stroked his furry arm. I spoke to him in a calming voice, "Don't be nervous. We just got here."
Kyler nervously asked, "But what if someone finds out? We were lucky on the highway...But this is THE TOWN. Where a lot of humans live...And a lot of them could be dangerous."
I said soothingly, "You'll be all right. Try to stay calm." I felt some pity for him, making me question what I was doing. Is it really worth the risk? Am I doing the right thing bringing him here?
Yeah...Of course I am.
I thought about me going to college, and it made me more determined than before. I AM.
I demanded, "Kyler, look at me." He did, "Take a deep breath." I sucked in some air, he did as well, and we both let it out, "Now do it again, alright? Breathe in...Breathe out." My hairy friend did it a few more times. I asked him, "You ok?"
He replied in a timid voice, "A little bit."
"Good." I sighed and said in comfort, "Listen. I understand why you're nervous. I know taking the first step in a new place is scary. I remember what you were like when you first got so close to my house."
Kyler remarked, "This is FAR different than just your lone cabin."
I nodded slowly, "I know...I know...But I doubt you'll be in danger, I'm sure of it. You just have to act like a human in a costume and you'll be fine." I lifted his hand to start rubbing the top of it comfortingly in circles, "Please...Don't run off. Give it a chance, Kyler. I'm doing all this for you because you're my friend. It's sad that you can't see and experience a lot of things I told you about up close cause you're a werewolf. But tonight you can. Please, don't run off. I don't want this night to go to waste."
He just gaped at me without a word out of his muzzle.
"Please, Kyler...Stay here a little longer...For me, and for you."
He still didn't say a word.
I reminded him of something I already told him several days ago when I revealed my plan to him, "Look, I told you this before...If something does happen, I swear I will get you out of here and bring you back to your woods. Remember? You have my word on it." I begged, "But right now you're safe...Come on."
Kyler's chest expanded and he let out a deep sigh, "...All right." I beamed. Yes! That's a good werewolf! He twisted his head to gaze around the street, "So...We're supposed to meet Suzanne, right? Where is she?"
I replied, looking down the street, "She said we should meet her at the town square." I let go his hand and looked at my watch, "She's bound to be there soon. Let's go." I gazed to him, and shot up a brave finger, "And remember...Stay calm."
He breathed in through his nose, "I'll try." With that, we went to go to Suzanne, walking side by side on the sidewalk.
Wandering through town still made him nervous, that I can tell. But he kept his cool. He didn't falter or anything. Keeping calm, he was gazing at each Halloween decoration we walk by, big and small. Kyler joked that the town had more decorations than my cabin! He even caught sight of several Jack-O-Lanterns on porches we strolled past. He thought those were pretty. Kinda reminded him of fireflies a little bit, only they're not flying and moving in the air. Obviously other than that, from a distance, he also can see people wandering among the streets in costumes. He honestly admitted...Some costumes he saw amused him.
I was proud of him. Proud he was enjoying himself for coming here.
Course, his nervousness was literally put to the test a few times. Cause some parents and kids, and some kids alone, did come up to check us out. Kyler probably wanted to run and hide, but he kept calm...Keeping still. He hadn't said a word and hadn't made his ears and tail move like I told him not to. Whoever came up close admired his 'costume', especially the kids. A couple kids that were alone in particular even touched his fur, and his fluffy tail. Then one of them said, 'It feels like carpet!'. I laughed at that, while Kyler just rolled his eyes. I know his fur didn't feel that way. But I couldn't help but laugh.
I gotta admit...He was a big hit with any kid he came across.
Each time he was checked out by a passing bystander without trouble, and I was happy that my plan was still working just like it did out on the highway. Each person on the highway weren't THAT close to him since they were in cars, and this was different. Parents and kids were SO close to him and they still didn't suspect he was real! I felt like a total genius. Kyler was probably glad himself, I bet. By the look on his face, Kyler must've thought what happened to him more than once was cute. He even said that some of the kids reminded him of me, when I was young. That was such a touching comment.
Finally, we were getting closer to our first destination in town, the square seen up ahead. Kyler asked with a curious face as we continued our way toward it, "Hey, I kinda forgot to ask."
I rolled my eyes, "Forgetting something else...That's so like you."
Kyler shot me a glare, "Cut me some slack, Molly! What happened earlier was a mind slip. And what I forgot to ask you about is a small matter."
I told him flat out, "Forgetting tonight's Halloween and our plan wasn't small."
"Oh give me a break." He huffed, "I may not know a lot of costumes, but I was wondering what Suzanne dressed like, if she ever told you. You know she never told me when I asked her and I still haven't any idea what she is."
While my mind flowed with curiosity about Suzanne's costume, I answered with a deep giggle, "You'll be disappointed to know that Suzanne STILL didn't tell me. I asked her today, but you get the picture."
He moaned with a roll of his eyes, "Oh, come on. We're her friends, aren't we? Friends are supposed to know these things."
I said with a smirk, "Well, despite I'm her best friend, she still thinks it's a surprise not to share with me."
"Great. Since you don't know what she is, how are you supposed to figure out which costume she's in? What if we just miss her?"
I replied in a sure tone, "Don't worry about it, Kyler. I'm sure she'll come up to us when she finds us. She knows what we both are, especially you. Not like she's blind."
He saw the point. He shot his head to the right and agreed, "Yeah, that's true. What am I thinking?"
As we got closer to the square, I saw only one person in a costume, sitting near the big, stone fountain in the middle of it. I immediately assumed it was Suzanne. I pointed, "That might be her. Let's go see." We made our way to the person on the paved trail between patches of green grass.
As me and Kyler walked up to the person, my mind went back to the past. I was thinking about the time when me and Suzanne were eleven...When she first met Kyler.
It was just one day during the summer, when Suzanne came over to my cabin. For a long time, two years since I met Kyler, I felt like I wanted to share Suzanne my secret. It was because she was my second best friend and I felt like I was neglecting her because of Kyler. And I think I was right, cause I have blown off her invites to her house like maybe fifteen times because I already had plans being with my werewolf friend. It just didn't seem fair. I wanted BOTH best friends to be by my side, together in one place.
Course, Kyler hasn't seen her before, but I have told him about Suzanne. Sometimes he was curious of what she looked like in person. I know he probably thought only having me and my parents as friends was enough, but then I also thought that maybe if I could convince Suzanne to give him a chance and be friendly with him, he'd think that maybe he wouldn't mind having another human for a friend.
A few days before the day she met him, I told him that I was planning to have Suzanne meet him in the woods. His reaction didn't come off as a surprise. He was shocked...And scared. I'm sure it was because he was afraid that she was gonna be terrified of him and she'll tell every human in Platt, including her parents what she found.
But I was determined not to let that happen. I was determined to show her he wasn't scary. I mean, he was a little werewolf around that time compared to the adult ones.
I calmed him down, and told him that everything will be okay and to trust me. I don't think he was calm about it still, but...He trusted me.
Fast forward to the day it happened, I asked Suzanne if she could come over to the cabin for the weekend. She stated to me that she was still nervous about the woods, cause she was afraid of them during that time, but she did want to give it a try. Suzanne said she was too big to be scared of the wilderness now and she needed to quit being such a scaredy cat.
Suzanne showed up at my house an hour later, and my parents had her stay in the spare room with the extra bed we have. I think maybe they were nervous about her showing up, because of the secret we kept. I didn't tell them what I planned thank goodness...They would never have let her stay there. When Suzanne settled in, I didn't take her outside right away, cause we were having dinner with my parents. But then, afterward, I asked her if she could have a walk out in the woods with me. Suzanne didn't hesitate a bit, she jumped on board for the walk. Perhaps it was because the drive up the cabin made her finally realize the woods didn't seem all that scary. Maybe she was a tiny bit nervous and didn't tell me, but I imagined she pushed it aside and got brave about it.
My parents told us to not go far, and we promised. Very soon, we were outside on the usual walking trail. I led her to the spot where Kyler would be waiting. It was easy to remember. By that time, I memorized much of the woods, so I didn't get lost in them like I did two years earlier.
I suddenly stopped in my tracks, and Suzanne was wondering what was going on. That was when I told her the truth. I told her everything as clearly as possible. She was confused, that's for sure. I don't think she believed me...But she was about to. I put my fingers to my mouth and whistled, and Kyler came out of his hiding spot.
I can tell Suzanne was shocked, surprised that the truth came out to see her. Kyler said hello to her in a shy, shy way. He was kinda cute when he did that. Then they both just stared at each other. I did break the silence and introduced them to each other. That was when Kyler mentioned, 'You're a little different than I imagined'. Suzanne actually laughed, smiling at him, not running away at all. I think my explanation to her helped the situation out much.
And from that moment on, Kyler and Suzanne were becoming fast friends thanks to me. They were getting along with each other quite nicely. She didn't see him as a monster, she probably saw him as another kid our age. I always thought so like her.
The two of us came back to the cabin with Kyler and told my parents what had happened. They were surprised, worried, but Suzanne swore she won't tell anyone. Not even her parents. They relaxed and they let the three of us hang around together in the house.
Suzanne wasn't afraid of Kyler, but gosh was she afraid of adult werewolves. Kyler's parents arrived later since Kyler didn't come home for a long time. When Suzanne laid eyes on them from inside the cabin through a window, she was terrified out of her mind. Probably afraid that they wouldn't be so understanding of her like Kyler and might hurt her. Kyler was worried for her safety as well, knowing what his parents might think of another stranger, another human finding out their existence. Thankfully, my mom and dad went out and talked to them, and told them what was going on without their presence. Morten, Kyler's father, called us out minutes later. Suzanne at first refused to meet them, but me and Kyler both promised her she's safe now. After a minute of coaxing, she complied.
Suzanne was still shaking like a wet poodle when she stood face-to-face with them. Morten seemed a bit unsure of another human finding out about them, although Kyler's mom Aratha commented to her son that she found his new friend to be quite cute for a little human girl. By that comment, Suzanne seemed to found that comforting. She even asked if she thought so and Aratha mentioned that she did. She liked her blue eyes to be exact. Things got more better after that, and they were soon exchanging some more small talk between each other. I think Morten got over his issue with the situation at the end.
After that sleepover weekend was over, Suzanne still wasn't scared of the woods. She's got used to them, and she felt that she couldn't wait to see the werewolves, especially Kyler again, seeing that they were nice and cool. When she got the chance, Suzanne would come over to the cabin to be with me and Kyler, and see his family and pack when the opportunity shows. Usually with the three of us, we'd all hang around, or play tag, or play hide and seek. From Kyler, and his family and the other werewolves not related to him, she got to know more about the pack, and they let her visit them at their home when I go there.
She grew close to them and Kyler like me. And still is years later...Like me.
It was nice having both of them in the same area with me. Very nice, indeed. I didn't have to worry about neglecting her anymore. It was such a relief.
I brought my mind back to the present as me and Kyler got closer to the person sitting on the fountain. I brushed back the red hood off my head so they'd get a better look at my face. It was a girl all right, a girl with white hair, that I can tell. Is that really Suzanne?
At first she didn't notice we were heading toward her cause her head was down. But she did hear a footstep from me and looked up. The girl beamed, shooting up off her seat and greeting us, "There you are, Molly! I've been waiting for a little bit. And you Kyler, you actually made it to town! I'm surprised!"
Kyler cocked his head, "Suzanne? Is that you?"
I knew for sure it was her. I can tell by her voice and her blue eyes staring back at us.
Apparently, Suzanne was dressed as...I don't know really.
On her head she was wearing a snow white, long haired wig, which that explained why the top of her head wasn't blonde when we showed up. On her face around her eyes was a plastic black mask that made her face look like a cat burglar. Around her neck held a choker. Her hands wore black gloves, and her feet had on black high heel shoes. And what her body wore was what kinda made her devilishly sexy. She wore a black jumpsuit, with a front zipper that didn't totally close and SOMEWHAT showed the top of her breasts, and she wasn't even wearing a bra! What else was on the jumpsuit was a oversized, white fur collar that's stitched up top, and patches of fur of the same color on her arms and legs.
What is she dressed as? That WASN'T the costume I imagined her being in.
Suzanne commented my costume, "Your costume looks nice, Molly." Her eyes swung down at the picnic basket in my arm before swinging them back on my face, "Good basket too. You sure picked the right outfit considering you're having a stroll with the big, bad wolf." Her eye winked.
"Thanks." I frowned and gestured to her slightly exposed breasts, "But look at your chest! Aren't you wearing a bra? They're kinda showing."
Suzanne retorted, "So what? You're not my mother."
I giggled, "Well I'm wondering how the heck did you manage to get past her looking like that!"
She replied with a devilish grin while Kyler leaned over and was sniffing her wig, "I snuck out through the backdoor. It was easy. She was doing laundry."
Kyler asked in total confusion, "If that really is you, then what happened to your hair, Suzanne? It's all white."
"Hey! Cut it out!" Her hand swiped his nose away, and he pulled it back to dodge it. He gave her a hardened stare but didn't say anything.
I explained to him, "It's a wig. That's why her hair's not yellow."
He gazed at me, confused still, "A wig? What's a wig?"
Obviously he never heard of that thing before. I explained some more, "Well, a wig is something people wear. It's not really hair that grows on you. It's just...Well, not hair. They look like normal hair but they're not."
"Why do humans wear them?"
"Wigs are either used to hide their bald spots..."
THAT Kyler knew. He frowned in disgust with a twitched ear, "Ewww."
I finished, "Or just wear them for entertainment purposes. Like what she's doing now."
The werewolf nodded as he got the picture, "Ah...Gotcha." He brought his gaze back on my white haired best friend, a relieved smile on his muzzle, "I'm happy you didn't lose your hair, Suzanne. Having no hair is ugly in my opinion."
I showed Kyler a glare, then swung my picnic basket against him, "Hey! My DAD is getting bald you know!"
It didn't hurt him much, but Kyler's eyes did go wide from my words. His ears drew back, and he chuckled in embarrassment, "Uh...Sorry." Then he shrugged his hands with his pointed ears shooting up, "Hey, I think your dad should get a wig. Might help make his head look better you know."
"KYLER!"
"What? It's just strange seeing him with less hair now!"
Suzanne apparently was tired of being ignored, and cried, "Can you two focus back on me?!" We had our attention back on her. Her face beamed as she raised her arms high in the air and made a twirl, "Feast your eyes on the most definitive costume I ever wore in my life! I was lucky to order this off the internet. It's so worth it."
I playfully frowned, "That's your definitive costume? I was thinking maybe you'd dress like Barbie, cause of your blonde hair, I mean. And you think showing your breasts a bit is kinda...Definitive? I don't think that's the word for it."
She waved me off, "Oh, forget about my chest already, girlfriend. Do you like it or not?"
I grinned, "I would if I knew what you are."
"Seriously? You don't know what I am?"
Kyler put a furry hand to the side of his head, curious what she is, "I don't."
Suzanne closed her eyes and sighed, "I figure Kyler wouldn't know, but I'm shocked at you, Molly."
I pressed impatiently, "So what are you?"
She finally told me with hands on her hips, standing like a proud hero, "I'm The Black Cat. Ex-cat burglar turned superheroine. She's a friend of Spiderman."
She waited me for a response. I finally replied with a shrug, "Never heard of her."
I was earned by a disappointed look through her mask, "Ah, damn it!"
I defended, "Well, you know I don't watch that stuff!" Then I added with a wrinkled brow, "Or...READ that stuff."
Suzanne let out a huff, and gave me a nod, "Oh it's fine. I've got plenty of people to look at me and admire me. I'm sure there are OTHERS who'll know who she is...And I'm sure people will be talking about me for years to come."
I shrugged my shoulders again, "If you say so."
Kyler actually complimented her, "Well I like your costume. You look beautiful in it."
Suzanne motioned her hand toward him as she said to me with a knowing look, "Least one of my friends said I looked beautiful in it."
I laughed, then said, "I think you look beautiful in it too! Don't get me wrong."
That's when Kyler added a comment, "I can tell you something, I don't know who's more better. You or Molly. Kinda hard to decide."
I glanced at my werewolf friend and decided for him, "I think she is, Kyler. She's got the looks to beat me."
He told Suzanne, "By the way, I like that white wig on your head. White looks unique on you."
Suzanne giggled cutely in response, "Thank you." Suzanne let out a breath and gazed around the area, "So, Kyler, how are you liking being in town? Pretty different, isn't it?"
He nodded in agreement, "Oh, it is. I look like I'm in the woods but I'm surrounded by a whole bunch of houses instead of trees."
"But do you like being here? Are you enjoying Halloween?"
I answered, "He was nervous after coming here. But now, so far, he's enjoying being in town and seeing the decorations. He's actually a big hit with a few kids in the neighborhood as well."
Suzanne spoke to Kyler sweetly, "Awww. I never knew you were so great with kids."
Kyler responded, giggling under his breath, "Well, I was nervous letting them see me, but yeah, they loved me."
"Which I can see why." But then her teasing finger pointed at between his legs, "But I'm curious, did they notice your gonads?"
I snickered beside the werewolf. I think he had a blush on his face when she asked him that. He probably didn't think of them at all when kids and parents came to meet him. He answered, "No...They seem more interested in my feet, my arms, my body, my fur, my tail and my face than them. They probably didn't notice them one bit."
Suzanne asked while holding a smirk, "What about their parents? Did they have grownups with them? I'd think perhaps they did and chose not to say anything. How can they not see them? They're always noticeable to me!"
Kyler's cheeks seemed more redder than before, "Ahhh...There were a couple." He fidgeted with his hands, "If they did, maybe they thought them as part of my...'Costume'...Maybe."
Suzanne commented, "Yeah, a SEX costume, perhaps."
I snickered again, trying very hard not to laugh at that. Heh...Sex costume. When I shortly kept myself together, I said to both of them in a playful and confident tone, "Hey, let's just be glad that he hasn't got in trouble for public nudity."
Kyler breathed out, the red tint leaving his face, then slowly nodded in agreement. Like his nuts, he probably hadn't thought of the whole 'public nudity' thing at all before we came here, and must have gotten worried about that a little. He does know my kind take issue with that. I admit, I didn't think that either. I thought that wouldn't be a big deal since people would think he's in a werewolf costume.
Besides, I didn't think his nuts were THAT noticeable anyway. His fur was hairy enough to hide them a bit.
"Well I definitely am, for his sake." I saw that Suzanne put on a fearful look on her face as she looked directly at me, "I'm serious, Molly, he really is lucky he hasn't been caught for what he is yet." Her faced rolled around the square, wondering if there are any cops around probably, "Look, since he's seen some of the town and the people, maybe we oughta-"
I knew what she was gonna say and declined with a shake of my head, "No. I don't think Kyler's done yet." I looked at him, "Right?"
He replied with a nod and a smile, "Right. I want to see more."
I glanced back at my superhero friend again, "And we also might as well show him around town since he's here. I haven't gave him much of a tour when we arrived. We were more focused on meeting you, other than Kyler being a bit distracted by the costumes and the kids and the decorations. I haven't yet shown him the school we go to, the grocery store, the bank..." I made a gesture to her, "Also, your house. He knows you live in town, and I think he's curious what it looks like."
Kyler agreed with that statement, "She's right. I only know Molly's home, and I think it's fair I check out yours, and those other places she said. You guys always mention them, I've been curious of what they look like for a long time, but now I'm here, so I might as well see them now."
Suzanne started to say nervously, "But, Kyler-"
He assured, "Come on, Suzanne, I'm careful when I'm around new people. As you can tell, I'm doing a good job not showing what I am. I'm not going home yet. I want to see more Halloween and those places." He begged, his snout showing teeth, "Please?"
Suzanne looked at us for a moment before she let out a sigh of defeat, "...Alright. Let's go."
I said in assurance before she would move, "Suzanne. Don't worry. I'm sure he's safe, I don't think the cops are after him because of his gonads. And my plan's working so far. I don't think it'll fail."
She still had some worry in her eyes behind her cat burglar mask, "I hope you are right."
*****
I walked in between Kyler and Suzanne, red hood over my head and swinging my basket back and forth in my hand every time I took a step. We headed for the house party that's dead ahead.
Ever since our conversation at the town square, Suzanne and I wandered around town with Kyler, just plainly showing him around since we had no other plans on our minds. Kyler took gaze at more Halloween decorations, jack-o-lanterns and costumes in awe. And in turn, he took attention with more grownups and kids coming to see him.
And yes, for those who are PROBABLY curious...Nobody saw his gonads. I'm sure, anyway.
And like before, nothing bad came as a result. He still wasn't found out. The plan still worked its charm.
And I think it still had a lot left.
One child in particular, dressed as a Power Ranger, kindly handed Kyler a piece of candy as a present before leaving. It was a Milky Way chocolate bar. Kyler would've accepted the gift, but problem was he doesn't like chocolate. I know that for a certain fact cause when I came home from trick-or-treating years ago, I shared him some of my candy and he did not like it AT ALL. I figured he wouldn't, but he wanted to try some. He never tried it again, and he proved that he didn't want to eat that chocolate bar by giving it to Suzanne. She happily accepted it. She LOVES Milky Way.
Despite the present, Kyler didn't totally mind that somebody handed him one. He didn't complain. I can tell he seemed to be liking that kind of attention more and more each time somebody came up to him. I bet he wished that all humans gave him that sort of attention as who he really is, when he wasn't pretending to be a costume, without any hostilities. Like have more human friends, especially with some of the kids who met him and thought of him as a costume.
I've made that sort of wish many times, all of humanity being friendly towards werewolves when they find out their existence and all. And I admit, I wished it again when I see people talk to him without any fear in their eyes. Kyler wasn't a monster. He was more of a tamed wolf than that. People saw that he didn't display any threat. They know he hadn't done anything wrong upon first meeting.
But would they have accepted him when they find out who he is?
Some kids probably would right away. Typical kids they probably were, they'd probably think a real werewolf in front of them was SOOO cool. Maybe not all of them though. Other kids would probably get scared of him. They weren't before, but imagine when they find out that the 'costume' they looked upon was actually real and he was a real 'monster' even though their parents told them monsters aren't real. Speaking of parents, I was sure of what they'd might do. Like Morten and Aratha, they'd show their protective instincts and take their children and run away...Or shoot at him.
Whichever came first.
I wished that revealing Kyler for who he actually is was that simple, but that was still a great risk. Despite my wishes, if I felt the chance to reveal him to the whole town, I wouldn't do it. I didn't want him to get hurt, and Kyler probably wouldn't want me to do that either despite all the attention he got. It was better that way. The less people know the truth about werewolves existing, the better.
Other than Kyler enjoying Halloween and the attention, me and Suzanne did take him to the school and the other landmarks in Platt, like we said we would. We went to the school first, since it was closer. When Kyler laid his eyes on it, he was surprised. He didn't imagine the place being so big. He loved it, but he also wished we could explore the inside. But me and my girlfriend told him no like he was a child, saying it was a bad idea. Breaking into our school wasn't our specialty. Next we showed him Suzanne's house. It was SOMEWHAT as he pictured, but he thought it was totally different than my house. I knew he'd say that.
Then we showed him the grocery store, the bank, the county library where I check books out from too, and any other place of interest we could think of. He admitted they were beyond his imagination just like with the school, but he also admitted that he wasn't as impressed by them just as he was with the school. Interesting, I guess. Some people don't like school, and I gotta say if some of those people heard him talking like that about the school, they wouldn't consider him as their favorite person to be around with.
When we were done showing him the bank, one of my few friends I have from school, whose name is Jodie, ran up to us. She was impressed by the costumes me and Suzanne had on, and like everyone else, she was MOSTLY impressed by Kyler's 'costume'. She was impressed, and was a little surprised by how tall he was, like everyone else. But unlike everyone else, she wondered who was in the werewolf 'costume'. She asked Kyler who was he, and as you can imagine he didn't know what to say, technically still wasn't supposed to open his mouth and talk. But he did pretend to speak to her like he was wearing a mask by talking through a tightly closed mouth.
Before this year's Halloween came about, I did mentally come prepared for that kind of question. When Jodie didn't understand what he said, I gave her the answer for him. I told her he was my cousin from another state, and his name was 'Kyle'. Kyler didn't show it, but I can FEEL he was surprised when he twitched. I never told him that I was going to call him that just in case somebody wondered who he was. He probably didn't like the name, but I think he accepted that for his own safety and let it go.
And it wasn't just him who accepted something. Jodie accepted my answer. Which was good cause that was the only idea I came up with for a question like that! Then she started telling us about this Halloween party in a house about twelve blocks away. One with no bratty, annoying kids, and no adults to boss us around. She merely came over to invite us. Seeing that Kyler could have a lot more fun tonight, I accepted the invitation on mine and everyone's behalf. Suzanne did gave me a glare, which I was sure I knew why. Jodie was glad to know we were coming, and ran off to find anyone else to invite.
When the three of us were alone, Suzanne balked at me for accepting that invitation. She was still worried for Kyler's well-being, and she thought going to that party was a bad idea. But I didn't care. I wanted Kyler to experience as many things as HUMANLY possible. And partying was another he can do while we're in town. Kyler didn't mind I accepted the invitation for him. He wanted to do something else other than walk and see stuff.
And so we were on our way there, closer to the party now. I can see lots of people have shown up, cars parked near it and all. With each step we took, we can hear the loud music from outside. If they didn't have party animals in the house, there certainly was going to be one in there.
That party animal...Was Kyler.
Suzanne looked past Kyler to me and worriedly said, "I still don't think we should go in there."
Kyler rolled his eyes, "You worry too much, Sue."
Her eyes narrowed through her plastic, cat burglar mask at him, "Says you. You were nervous when you came to town!"
He remarked, a smile on his muzzle, "Yeah, but you're worse than I was."
"I don't care." Suzanne begged me, "Molly, I know you care for how much he should experience all this human stuff now when he couldn't before, but we should take him home RIGHT NOW. We showed him a lot of Halloween, we showed him the school and everything else. That's experience enough. Now let's get him out of here."
I finally stated, "Will you relax? The plan has worked the whole time you've been with us. Nothing's changed. What could possibly go wrong in the party?"
Suzanne pretended to be in thought by crossing her arms and tapping her index finger on her chin, "Gee I don't know. Somebody offering Kyler alcohol and him actually drinking a lot of it in front of everyone with his 'mask' on."
I shook my head, giggling at the thought of him being THAT much of a party animal, "I doubt he'll drink the stuff. He's never drank that before."
Kyler looked at her and said, "She's definitely right on that. I never drank alcohol in my whole life. And I don't want to. I'll avoid somebody who does offer. I'm thirsty, sure, but I'll put up with the thirst till I get home."
Suzanne let out a sigh with her hand on her forehead from fearful distress, "This is a bad idea."
I assured as soon as we stopped in front of the front door, music blaring from the inside, "Don't worry, Suzanne. Kyler will be fine. I'll tell you what. Let's give this a shot for half an hour, and if something goes wrong before then, the three of us are gone. What do you think?"
She said, taking a deep breath, "Ok, fine. We're out when something happens. Got it, you two?"
Me and Kyler both said, "Got it."
And with that, I knocked loudly on the door. A second later, someone wearing a lobster costume answered the door. He looked at me, then Suzanne, who finally smiled and gave him a cute wave, and then lastly Kyler. I heard the person's muffled voice behind the stuffed lobster mask, "Whoa! Nice costume, dude!" I giggled. Another person impressed by him. I can feel Kyler was eating that up. I heard the guy in the lobster costume ask us, "So you're here for the party?"
I let out a laugh, "What do you think?"
He stepped aside, inviting us in with a swing of a claw, "Then come on in!" I went through the entranceway first, followed by Kyler and Suzanne. I think I barely heard the guy being the lobster comment to Suzanne that she looked hot. I think she took it well, cause she grinned at him.
I saw and heard that music was played loudly by the speaker and people in their costumes danced their butts off. This was the perfect time to really have fun. Kyler leaned to my ear, and said over the music, "I gotta tell you...Compared to the costumes I see in here, the one we saw at the door sucked."
I laughed, shouting in reply, "Never mind him! Come on!" I started hopping around away from him, dancing like everyone else. Twirling around in circles, hood flying off my skull, holding on to my picnic basket as tight as I could. I wasn't really the best dancer in the country, but I was going to give it my all as best I could. I shouted to my hairy best friend, "Dance, wolfy! Dance!"
Kyler, since he has seen people dance and party on tv with me before, had the idea how it works. Course, he hasn't danced AT ALL in his life, but he seemed willing to give it a try. He swung his pointy eared head around and shook his butt and tail behind him as he danced his way among the crowd. Watching him while I was trying to show off my moves, I immediately thought about what his parents would say if they saw their son doing this now. They'd probably say, 'A werewolf dancing...That's something you don't see at home.'. I'm sure they'd be right. Of all the years of knowing Kyler's pack, I had never seen any werewolves dance. NEVER. And Kyler had told me himself sometime after watching tv with dancing in it that his kind don't dance. It was because it wasn't in their nature to dance. Well, I did see his point...They're not human after all.
Kyler certainly wasn't acting to their nature right now. That's for sure. He tried to be a party animal. And I think he did...'Okay' for a beginner. He wasn't too bad, but I honestly had a tiny thought that maybe I should have gave him some dancing lessons back in the woods. But what did I know about dancing? I'm not one of the best dancers in the country, remember?
If his dancing didn't impress anyone in the party, I'm sure his 'costume' did. Some people have sorta stopped to look at Kyler as he was swinging himself by them. They seemed to have been surprised by the 'detail' he was wearing, impressed by it too. My plan worked outside and it's certainly working inside a house full of people. Like I said before...Still had a lot of charm to give.
So far, half an hour already passed, no trouble occurred. While me and Kyler were still dancing on the floor, Suzanne was just standing around with a couple other girls watching the dancing werewolf from a distance. I think she was relieved nothing bad happened. I suppose I was glad too, I guess, but I wasn't too worried. My feet felt tired already from dancing around, but Kyler didn't seem that way at all. I think his legs and feet held a lot more stamina than mine did. He was still going with electric energy. Frankly, thinking from his point of view, I don't think he cared too much if his dancing was so impressive or not...He was having a blast. Having the most fun in his entire life.
Since I was feeling sweaty because the inside of the house felt so freakin hot compared to outside, I decided to just stop dancing and head out for the cool, fresh air. I pushed myself out the door, breathing in and out, relieved that the chilly, night air washed over me. I stepped further outside, heading around to the side of the house, so I wouldn't be in the way of some other party goer coming out through that door or coming in.
I leaned against the wall, relaxing with my picnic basket held low in front of me in both hands, my feet starting to feel relief from dancing too much. My eyes wandered up to the sky, millions of stars showing, some blinking. I smiled. Molly, you've really came up with a great plan. Kyler will never forget this...As long as he lives. Wonder if he'll come to town in next year's Halloween? Then I was thinking about going to college next year, the glumness replacing my smile in an instant. He'll probably come here without me if he did.
It probably won't be the same without me...
Oh, Kyler...I wish I knew how to tell you...But I don't want you to be sad.
Then my mind told me this. Molly, he'll be sad either way, even when you leave without telling him. You might as well tell him soon so it'll make it easier for him.
Can I? I'm so afraid to do it.
Before I could ponder more about my future, an unexpected face came around the corner of the house and found me, "Molly." I glanced, and saw to my disgust it was Lou, having a toothy, piggish grin on his face. Apparently for Halloween he was dressed as a pirate, with an eyepatch over his right eye.
I narrowed my eyes. I spitefully said, "What happened to your eye? Somebody finally decide to take it out?"
Lou giggled, "No." He took it off, showing me it was fine, "Same as always." He put it in his pocket.
I pressed in annoyance, "What do you want?" I tried to shoo him away with my hand, "Could you give me some space please? I came out to be alone."
"Oh I can see that." He stepped forward to get closer to me, "I saw you go outside. I was in the house."
So he was at the party too...Great. I said, "I didn't see you in there."
"I'm surprised you haven't. And me..." He shrugged his shoulders, "I guess I'm surprised I didn't either till I caught you sneaking out of there."
"Fascinating." I replied angrily, "Well I don't want any company, now go away."
He got more closer, "I can't. I have my eyes on treasure and you're just a ruby waiting to be takin' by the captain."
That's when I smelled something in the air. I think it came off him. I asked, getting off the wall and stepping away, "Have you spilled alcohol on you?"
Lou chuckled like a devil, "A good pirate always has a good drink."
No wonder he seemed to act more funny than usual. He must be drunk. I waved him away, "Well I can smell you when you're this close. Get out of here."
But he refused, being VERY blunt, "Sorry, but when I look at a SPARKLING ruby, I get VERY horny."
Is he fucking kidding me?! Did he just say that?! I flat out told him, "Lou, I know what you're thinking, and I'm telling you no." My gaze shot at the house beside me, "Remember I told you I had someone looking out for me? Well my protector's in there, so you'd better leave me alone."
But Lou chuckled, shaking his head, "I don't believe you. I think you told me you had someone watching you cause you're playing hard to get." He made another step toward me, "You're a real tease...A hot lass always teases a captain."
More like captain of the retards. I tried to tell him off, "Listen, asshole, I've had enough of your crap. Read my lips. I AM NOT INTO YOU AND NEVER WILL BE. Got that? So do yourself a favor and go harass someone else in the party."
That's when his face showed he wasn't playing around anymore, "I don't want anyone else...I want my treasure...I want YOU."
I yelled, "I am not yours! If you don't leave me alone I'm gonna-" He grabbed me, slammed me against the wall, and forced his lips against mine. I cried with widened eyes in his mouth. I can taste his alcohol breath. It was disgusting.
I managed to push them away, his face staring back at mine. What did he think he was doing?! I was speechless from what he'd just done. His eyes never blinked at all. Lou's chest was heaving, lusting for me as he still held on to me.
He said while he was still heaving, "God you're driving me crazy. You drive men crazy, don't you? Is that why you don't talk to guys at school? Do you like leading them on and making them nuts for you?"
I was shaking a bit in his grasp. Worried what he was going to do. I have to find some way to get away from him. I replied with a shake of my head, my voice shaking a bit, "Um...No...I don't like doing that."
Lou rasped with a lot of anger in his eyes, "Well I'm tired of it! I will have my treasure whether it likes it or not!" He pressed his lips against me again.
I pushed him back, desperately trying to tell him, "Lou, I don't want-" He cut me off with his tongue in my mouth. I shoved him away again, "Lou, I really-" He kissed me once more, moaning. Instead of pushing him away that time, I kneed him in the groin. Lou groaned, backing off me and grasping his nuts.
I tried to run away. But my kick didn't stop Lou for long. He grabbed my red cape behind me, yanking me back. A shocked cry escaped my lips. Then I remembered the only weapon I had in my hand. I swung my picnic basket at him, hitting his arm. He jerked it back and I tried to hit him again. But he dodged that time and kicked the thing out of my hand.
I was left defenseless.
"No!" I turned to run, but he quickly wrapped his arms around me, preventing my escape. I shrieked desperately, "HELP! SOMEBODY HELP ME!"
Lou ordered, "SHUT UP!" He covered my mouth with a hand, cries for help were muffled by it. I bit down on it, "OW!" His hand flew off, "YOU CUNT!" I thought that would be my chance to escape, but he still had a good grip on me. He was starting to drag me away from the house.
I didn't know where but I wasn't gonna find out. I tried calling again for help, "HELP ME! PLEASE!"
"Why don't you shut the hell up and come with me, Molly! Aren't you tired of teasing me! Aren't you tired of being out of reach of the captain!"
"LET ME GO!" I tried to shake him off me, but it was no use. Shouldn't someone hear me by now? Maybe it was because the music was so loud from in the house. That's why nobody's coming! But there are other houses with neighbors in them, right? Nobody's came out of one of them either! And are there still people wandering around the streets? I don't see any!
What am I gonna do?
I finally saw where he was taking me. To his car. I shook in his grasp, "Let go!"
Lou rasped, dragging me to his car, "I will claim my treasure. No matter what the cost!" When he managed to get us close beside it, he opened up the back door.
"NO!" I screamed when he pushed me in there, my back laying on the backseat, "NO! LET ME GO!" Lou hit me across the face, finally having me shut up for a moment.
He was gasping heavily as his body hovered over mine. He said when he looked down me in my pained daze, his voice deep and threatening, "You're mine now." I can feel his hand pulling up my dress, then sensually rubbing my hip in circles.
My eyes went wide at fearful realization. He's going to...Do 'it' to me in his car! I didn't stay quiet forever. I called out for my hairy best friend, "KYLER! HELP! HELP ME! KYLER!" I was trying to use my hands to get the soon-to-be rapist off me, but he grabbed my wrists and held them down. Then he started kissing my neck feverishly. I yelled, my feet trying to kick him but couldn't reach him, "NO! NO! GET OFF! KYLER! HELP!"
Lou shouted in my neck, "SHUT UUUUUP!!!"
"KYLER!! HELP ME! HELLLLP! HELLLLLLLLLLP!!!"
Lou cried out in surprise when something pulled him off me. Somebody finally came and helped me. I lifted my body off the seat...And saw it was Kyler who came to my rescue. I gasped. Kyler!
He was holding Lou high above the ground by the neck, carrying him away from the car about several feet. Rage was in the werewolf's eyes, like his irises were on fire. I looked around and saw that Suzanne came to help as well. Only it was Kyler doing all the work. She was just standing nearby with fear and shock in her eyes. Apparently she was the only other human besides me and Lou that's outside. Nobody else from the party seemed to notice what was going on. It was just us.
Lou choked out, his feet kicking in the air, "Who the fuck are you?!" Kyler snarled in answer, baring his teeth furiously, revealing his true self to a new human. Lou gasped in fear, his eyes even showing it, "What-what are you?"
Kyler growled, finally talking to another person other than me and Suzanne since he arrived in town, "You should have left Molly alone." The man that was in his grasp pounded his fists on his arm, but Kyler was too strong enough for those. There was no escaping him.
In his eyes, I knew what Kyler was gonna do. I've seen that look before when he wants to protect me from something.
Oh no! With tears in my eyes, I hurried over to Kyler, "Stop!" I slammed my hands on him, trying to get him to stop, "Kyler, stop!" He didn't look at me. He was solely focused on killing Lou. With him baring his teeth, I think the werewolf was going to sink them into Lou's neck. I think Lou tried to plead for him to stop too, but Kyler gripped his throat so tightly he couldn't speak.
I desperately tried to get him to stop again, "Please! Stop!"
He finally looked at me, the fire still burning in his eyes.
Tears falling down my cheeks, I cried, "Please, Kyler! I'm begging you, don't kill him!"
Kyler didn't reply. His chest was heaving in and out from all the anger he has.
"You promised me. You promised you wouldn't do it." I let out a sob, "Don't do it, Kyler. I know you! You're not like that. Remember your promise! I don't like monsters! Please, remember it. Please...For me. Don't kill him...Please..."
After staring at me for a long time after those words, Kyler's chest finally relaxed, and so did his face. He looked towards Lou's. Lou was choking in his grasp still, only he was starting to relax too.
Kyler reformed the angered look on his face. Growling, he pulled the human real close to him. He said in a low, threatening voice, "NEVER...COME...NEAR...HER...AGAIN." Lou didn't speak, but he fearfully nodded. Kyler held him back out, and said one last thing to him, "You're a rotten human." Then he threw the bastard away with all the strength he had. Lou screamed with arms flailing wildly as he sailed across the ground, before landing on his back on the hood of his car. Then he rolled off and fell to the ground in front of it. He didn't move after that, probably knocked out upon landing.
Kyler stood there in a moment of anger, and snorted. I hugged him, proud of his decision while still shedding tears, "Thank you...Thank you." He looked down at me embracing him, then smiled.
Suzanne came up as he wrapped his arms around me. He soothingly said as he stroked my back, "It's ok, Molly...It's over."
Suzanne asked in total concern behind me, "You alright, Molly?"
I sniffed, looking at her with a tiny smile, "Yeah." Suzanne smiled back. I looked up at Kyler's eyes while in his embrace still, "Let's get out of here." He nodded, his arms letting me go. I ran to the basket I lost and picked it up. Then I jogged back to my friends, and the three of us began to walk away from the scene.
*****
I was just laying on my bed in my room, still in my costume, staring at the ceiling, crickets ringing outside. I realized I was holding my breath and finally let it out. What a night.
After that scary incident, me and Kyler got back to my cabin in the woods without another. We were a bit late getting home than originally planned, but we made it there nonetheless. No cops came after us or anything. We got out of town and got home unscathed. Guess nobody called them on the count of my screams and Lou being tossed onto his car. I was internally happy for that.
Before me and Kyler left town, when we got to the edge of it, Suzanne decided to leave us and head back to her house. Though a bit worried for me, and Kyler, still, she did say she wanted to come with us, but she thought her parents would want her to come straight home. I told her not to worry, and to go ahead and go home. Before she left us, she made me swore to call her as soon as we got home so she wouldn't get worried. I did, not long after I stepped foot inside my home. She was relieved, we talked a bit, and I told her good night and said thanks for hanging with us.
I was sure Kyler was still around, since I'm certain he did tell his parents that he'd be spending the night here tonight. Gotta make it look truthful. I didn't know which, but he was either downstairs on the first floor or he was standing around outside. I don't think he's tired from all the fun and the stress he got from Platt. I had a feeling he was still wide awake.
As I am.
I told Kyler I was gonna take a shower and go to bed, but I couldn't take off my costume. I couldn't take a shower. All I did was flop and lay around in my room, hoping that I'd feel tired and sleep with my costume on. But obviously I'm still not.
I think despite how relieved I was after Kyler rescued me from that horrifying, disgusting pig, I was a bit shaken still. Even my throat felt a bit sore from all the terrified screaming I made. I haven't felt that scared for a long time. Not since I met Kyler's parents and a few other adult werewolves for the first time when I was nothing but a little girl.
I know I shouldn't be scared. Kyler saved me from Lou and told him never to come near me again. I shouldn't be, but I couldn't help it. It's not something that just happened a week ago. It happened a little while ago. Maybe I'd feel totally better when more time went by.
My head and eyes shifted towards the clock on my bedside desk. It was 11:20, forty minutes till midnight. It hasn't even been an hour since I got in here. I was laying here awake for maybe thirty-five minutes. I eyed at the Goosebumps book I borrowed from the library near it, since I did take it out of my backpack earlier and read some of it while waiting for Halloween night to come closer. Maybe I should read my book. That might help me out.
But I didn't feel like reading. I felt like I wanted to get up. So I did, getting my butt off the mattress. I'll just go downstairs and find Kyler. See how he's doing.
I made my way out of my bedroom and headed downstairs. I didn't find him anywhere inside the cabin, so I decided to head outside through the front door. I slowly opened the door, and low and behold, there he was, sitting outside on the edge of the concrete front porch, gazing up to the sky. Kyler with his good hearing, heard me coming outside behind him. I formed a small smile, hand waving a bit, "Hi."
Kyler's ears flicked a bit as he smiled back. He said, "Hey. You alright?"
I moved out the door and closed it behind me, feeling the outside air was a bit more colder than it was earlier. I answered, "Kinda. Still shaky. I can't sleep."
Kyler eyed at my costume, "I see you haven't took a shower either."
I nodded a bit, brushing my long, brown hair off my shoulder, "Yeah. I guess I'm too shaky to take off my costume and take one."
He suggested with a giggle, "Well then don't take it off. You still look good in it anyway."
I grinned a little from the compliment. Then I asked, "Are you ok?"
"Yes...I'm fine." Then he looked down at the concrete floor and admitted with a tiny serious face, "Well...I do feel a tiny bit angry about what happened to you still." He brought his muzzle back up, some happiness for me gleaming in his eyes, "But otherwise, I'm fine."
"That's good." I strolled up till I was right beside him. I asked, "Can I join you? I could use some company right now."
Kyler nodded, "Sure."
"Thanks." I slipped down to sit beside him. I joined his gaze to watch shining stars up in the night sky. It looked exactly as it was a while ago. Still a beautiful night. I let out a sigh after a moment of silence. Kyler looked down at his furry lap. I somehow felt him move it, glanced, and saw he had a bit of a guilty look on his face. I asked in concern, "Hey...What's the matter?" I consolingly rubbed his shoulder, "I thought you were fine."
"I am." His muzzle let out a sigh, "It's just...I should've stayed with you that whole time. None of that would have if I had stayed close with you...And went outside with you instead of me dancing around like a jerk."
I shook my head at his words, "You weren't dancing like a jerk. You're never one to begin with."
"But I feel like one. I didn't stay with you."
I tried to comfort him, "Don't say that. You weren't a jerk when you saved me."
"Well it still wouldn't have happened if I had stayed by your side every minute." Then he finally glanced at me, looking deep into my eyes. Then he revealed a fact about earlier, "Molly...I'm lucky to have very good ears. I'm lucky to have heard you over the loud music. I'm lucky to have heard you screaming. And I'm lucky to have searched all over since I wasn't so sure where you were...Till I found you...What he was about to do to you..." His form quivered from his own thought, "If I hadn't gotten there in time...If I hadn't stopped him from-"
I cut him off, "There's no need to think about what ifs. It's like you said, it's over."
Kyler just gaped. Blinking the guiltiness in his eyes still.
I stated comfortingly, "Kyler...Don't say you're a jerk because you were dancing and couldn't help me a bit earlier than you did. I left you to have fun. Nobody could have predicted what Lou was going to do. It happened...And you still saved me before it got worse. You still found me despite you couldn't protect me earlier, and still saved me. And what's more, you didn't kill Lou either. Those facts are what's important. I couldn't be more thankful." I kissed his shoulder and rubbed it in tenderly with a smile on my face, "Don't ever say you're a jerk again. No guy never did that for me before. It was very sweet of you. No more of that. Ok?"
Kyler stared at me for a long time...Till his guilty expression went away. He made a tiny smile, "All right...I won't blame myself anymore."
I nodded in appreciation, "Thank you."
He looked ahead, and asked shortly, "So...That human was Lou, huh? The guy who kept bothering you in school?"
I smirked, "Yep."
He chuckled deeply, "Who would have thought? Who would have thought that I'd meet him for the first time tonight? I didn't think I ever would." He shot a glance at me, "No wonder that guy was all over you like a bitch in heat. He's the only human I know who's after you like one. I should have guessed."
I giggled, "Yeah, well, that was him. And I told you before that there was nothing you can do to change anything about me and him, but you certainly did. You've really scared poor Lou to death. He may have been very drunk, but I don't think he's ever gonna forget you and your threat. He's never gonna come near me again. I can see him avoiding me in school from now on."
Kyler proudly shut his eyes tight and his pointy ears shot up, showing off his accomplishment, "Yep. Thanks to me." Then when he opened them, he seemed to have a look of worry on his face, "But uh...I KINDA did reveal myself to him when I wasn't supposed to do that. Remember? What if he-"
I shook my head and waved off his concern, "I don't think he'll tell anyone. Besides, nobody would believe him. Lots of people probably saw him drinking a lot, and they'd probably think he was too drunk to tell what's real and what's not." I shrugged and added, "Or maybe they'd think he was dreaming."
Kyler giggled, "Yeah, and I was his WORST nightmare." We both shared a laugh. He said after he caught his breath, "Well, guess I won't have to worry about him telling everyone about me."
I said, "Guess not." Then we both got quiet and just looked out beyond the gravel road and the dark woods.
Kyler broke the silence again when he gazed at me, "Hey Molly..." I looked back at him, "I do want to thank you. You know...For everything. For tonight. I couldn't have done all what I did tonight without you. I had a ton of fun with you and Suzanne."
I replied, internally proud of myself for my plan, "Well, it was the least I could do for a werewolf like you. I felt like I owed you a lot on the count that we've been best friends for years."
Kyler shook his muzzle, "I told you before after you told me the plan...You don't owe me anything. Still, thanks anyway."
I said, leaning my head against his shoulder, "You're welcome." A second later, he slid an arm around me and his eyes focused back on the forest. I was just basking in the warmth of his furry arm and his body.
But I did, Kyler...I did. I did owe you a lot. I'm glad I gave you the trip.
I'm glad.
That's when college popped up in my mind. But I do owe you something else...And I won't be feeling glad when I tell you.
Oh, I can't...But I have to.
I have to tell him the reason why I took him to town tonight. I've told him the half-truth of why he should've gone there before...But I have to tell him the other half.
I can't keep it inside any longer.
I need to tell him now.
After building up some guts for maybe five minutes, I said his name out loud, "Kyler..."
Kyler looked at me once more, "Yes?"
"...Can I ask you something?"
He gave me a nod, "Sure. What is it?"
I hesitated to tell him, then I started off with something, "Wh-...What would you have done if I was going somewhere?"
He answered quickly, "Wait for you to come home, that's what."
I lifted my head off his shoulder, gazing at him with serious eyes, "That's not what I meant." My hairy best friend frowned confusingly. I continued, "I meant...What if I was gone for a long time? Not because I went to the grocery store with my parents for a short while? Not just for most of the day like when I go to school? What would you do when I was...You know? Like, gone for a very long time? For months...Maybe years?"
Kyler seemed a bit surprised by my questions, "Years?" He smiled and shook his head, "Molly, that's silly. You wouldn't be gone for years. I know you that well."
"But what if I was? I have met a few, but don't you know any girl werewolves your age that you really like and love to be with? One that would love to keep you company a lot like me? One that you can MAYBE fall in love with? You haven't done either much before, you know."
"Fall in LOVE with?" He let out a laugh.
I narrowed my eyes, "I'm serious, you dumb dog." He stopped with his laughter, focusing back on me. I asked after softening them up, "What would have happened if I was gone from your life?"
Kyler stared at me for a long time. With a shrug, he finally replied, "I don't know." He wandered his gaze off away from me, "I think I'd miss you than anything. I guess I can still be with Suzanne and your parents...But I'd miss you, because I like being with you. You're my favorite human to be with." He looked toward me, "I mean, how else should I feel? We're very close."
I insisted, "I understand that. But here's another hypothetical question for you. Even if ALL of us weren't around, didn't have the time to be with you, you know...You'd still have your own family and the other werewolves to be with, right? You wouldn't feel too sad...Right? You wouldn't be alone."
He replied, "Course I still would have the pack...But things wouldn't be the same without you."
That made my heart sank.
"I still care about your family and Suzanne. No question about it. But I like you MORE. And if I even had a girl werewolf for a friend that acts totally like you." His head shot to a direction, "Which obviously I don't...She still wouldn't be you. I would miss you so much despite everything I have. You're...Special...Very special."
I slowly looked down at my own lap...And heaved out a sad sigh.
Kyler got suspicious and demanded to know, "What's going on with you? What's with the questions? Are you afraid you're going to die or something? Molly, you're safe from Lou, I scared him out of your life. Don't worry, nobody's gonna hurt you again."
I cried as a few tears fell down my face, "IT'S NOT LOU!"
His ears drew back. He voiced concern, "What is it?"
I sobbed, gazing at his concerned eyes. I finally confessed, my throat tightening a bit, "I'm gonna go to college next year. After the next summer's over."
Kyler drew on a curious look, since I never told him about college before, "College? What's that?"
I held in a breath and explained a bit, "It's a place that's like school...But it'll be far away. VERY far away from Platt...And here."
Kyler stuttered a bit as he asked, "Wh-...What are you saying?"
"I'm saying I'm going away after next summer...And you won't get to see me much as like now...And you may not see me again for a long time...And I don't know when I'll be back."
He didn't reply. He didn't say a word. He just stared at me without showing much emotion. I think he's feeling sad on the inside upon hearing that.
I said when I looked down again, "I'm sorry, Kyler...I didn't want to tell you, but...You had to know." I looked away while still gazing downward. I admitted, "That was another reason why I took you to town to explore it and Halloween. I told you before that I wanted to help you experience some things I tell you about up close in my world, but I never told you that I was DESPERATE to do that. I wanted to before I leave for college. I thought tonight was my only chance to try. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to have another chance to help you again. I wanted you to have that kind of happiness...Before I was gone from your life."
I huffed, "I don't want to go, but I FEEL that I have to. I feel that I want a higher education. And I'm sure my parents wouldn't want me to throw that away either. I want a higher education to better live in the world. To take real good care of myself like everyone else who went to college. I want that, but...Even after I get it after I graduate college, I don't know what's going to happen to me. I still don't know if I'll see you as much as I want now after that." My head was shaking back and forth a bit in sadness, "I just don't know."
I wiped my face and my nose with my arm, but not still looking at him, "I'm sorry...I'm sorry I told you...I'm sorry if I hurt you...And I'm sorry that I'm gonna...ABANDON you."
The werewolf beside still hadn't said a word. He only blinked.
I finally gazed at his furred face. I pleaded, "Please...Say something."
Kyler blinked and stared at me some more...Without a word. Then, still without saying anything, he leaned his head forward...And licked a tear that slowly flowed down my cheek. Feeling his hot breath on my face, he didn't pull away. He stared at my eyes. He finally said one word to me in a soft tone, "Molly..."
I didn't take my eyes away from his. I looked deeply into his. I sniffed.
Then, I suddenly felt compelled by something inside me. I lifted my hand and placed it against his cheek, caressing it.
Then...I leaned my head...Closed my eyes...And planted my lips against his snout.
I kissed him.
For the first time...I kissed him.
I was feeling Kyler trying to kiss me back with his big mouth. He didn't mind it one bit. It appeared to me he wanted this too. I feel like we were both melting in our intimate moment.
I pulled away, slightly gasped, turning my head away. I dropped my hand down off him too. I let out a breath. Kyler pulled back too, sitting with his head down. His arm drifted away from me next. I sniffed my nose again, and apologized with me brushing my hair, "I'm sorry...I just-"
He got up on his feet before I would finish my sentence. He spoke, "No...I'm sorry." The werewolf seemed hesitant to continue, but he said it, "I...Uh...I gotta go." By his words, he slowly started to stroll away from me. I shot my gaze, watching him leave me toward the woods. I immediately stood up on my feet too and turned around to enter my house.
I leaned back against the door I just closed, surprised at myself for what I did. What was I doing?! I just kissed him! He's not a human and I kissed him! What was I thinking? What am I doing?
Did I...Care for him THAT much?
I let out a breath, putting some thoughts together. I guess that explains what Kyler said hours ago. When he hugged me...When he said 'I love you' for the first time. I think that explains that a lot. Not to mention it also explains why he wants to protect me and cares for my feelings so much. He was in love with me.
And I think that also explains everything on my part. Why I seem to care for him so much. Why I love being with him. Why I feel so close with him. Why I always think of him as my number one best friend. Why I always feel so eager to be with him. Why I think about him almost all the time when he's not around me. Why I feel I don't want to leave him when the time for college came. And why I wasn't into any guy in school that tried to ask me out.
I was in love with Kyler too. In love with a werewolf.
I sighed, my head shaking to myself. But I can't be with him. It...Doesn't seem right. What would our parents think? Suzanne? What would anyone think when they know we love each other in that way? What would they do?
Then, I was feeling my heart beating faster, my trepidation being overwhelmed by something else. I was literally feeling strange. I never felt this way before. I think it was that love. It's like that kiss and my realized feelings basically woke up all that love I held for Kyler inside me...And it was telling me to do something.
And I was quickly making my decision.
I made a determined look on my face. You know what...I don't care. I love him. I love Kyler. I'm so happy when I'm with him. Why shouldn't I be with him? He's funny, he's kind, he's sweet, we have some things in common, and most of all...He's HUMAN enough. He's always been like a human since we've known each other. It's like I thought earlier...I don't think I could find anybody who's like him, and I don't think I would feel this way to any guy either. He's been very protective of me in the woods, and he's saved me from being raped tonight, not to mention he didn't kill Lou. He held back. He's not a bastard, he's not a monster...He's a hero. MY hero. I don't think any other guy I meet would do the things he did.
I love him, and I don't care what everyone thinks, not even our parents. I don't now.
I'm going to give it a try. I'm going to explore my love with him while I have the chance...Before things change.
Then a sad thought shot out of nowhere in my head. But...I rejected him.
I spun around and yanked open the front door, rushing back outside. I have to find him. I have to see where this goes.
I stopped in the middle of my yard and cupped my hands to my mouth, "Kyler! Kyler! Come back!"
No answer. I waited for a minute, but he didn't show up. I called again, "Kyler! Please! Come back! I need you!" When I waited for another minute, he still hadn't showed up. I lowered my head and sighed very sadly. No... What if he NEVER comes back? What if I made him think I was scared so much from what he did and he wouldn't want to see me again?
I was internally praying. Please...Come back, Kyler.
I just stood there with my head hanging low. But, other than hearing crickets, I heard something else on the grass and leaves.
Footsteps.
I shot my head up, and saw Kyler had come back to me in slow strides. Relief filled my chest. Yes! I didn't show that yet. I only stared with only a blank face.
Kyler stopped right in front of me, seemingly nervous after what happened. I finally said something to him, "Thanks for coming back."
He replied, "I didn't think you'd want me around after what I did."
I smiled a bit in an effort to comfort him, "I do. It's ok, Kyler. I'm not mad...Not even afraid."
He dipped his muzzle, "But it was a bit much. I shouldn't have done that. I'm very sorry, Moll."
I shook my head, "There's no need to apologize. You're not the one who started it. I did. Remember? I did...But that's ok...Because I do feel the way as you...And I'm not ashamed."
His head and ears both shot up. He smiled a little too, "Really?"
I affirmed my stance, "Really. I'm ok with it. Wasn't at first, but I quickly got over it."
I can see he was very happy and relieved, "Gosh, I...I'm glad to hear that."
I stated with my hand to my chest, "And another thing to tell you, I'm really the one who should be apologizing. For pushing you away. I won't ever do that again...I swear."
His chest let out relief, "...Thank you."
Then I curiously asked with that kind of look in my eyes, "But I...I do want to know something. How long have you felt this way? How long have you known that you felt that way about me?"
Kyler shrugged his shoulders and hands, "I probably had been in love with you for a very long time...Maybe since we were little. But I think as you got older I began to notice. I REALLY knew I was in love with you...During times you went swimming with me in that lake we go to." I tilted my head to the side like he would do when he's curious. He admitted, "I think it was because of how you looked in your swim suit...And how you swung back your hair each time after you pop out of the water. You seemed beautiful. I think I knew that I was since three years ago."
He reached behind his neck and scratched it, "I wanted to tell you for a long time...But I was afraid what you'd do. I didn't want to risk losing you." Kyler sighed, glancing away with sadness in his eyes, "But I guess I was gonna lose you either way...Either by my feelings, which that didn't happen, or...When next summer was over..."
"Let's not worry about that now." I stepped up and pressed the palm of my hand directly on his chest. He looked to me as I said, "I'm still here, and right now...I just want you. I want you to stay with me. I...I want you to..."
Kyler knew what I was getting at. I pulled my hand off his chest when he kneeled down. Then, without any hesitation, his hands reached out to cup both sides of my face. He slowly brought my face to his, tilted it, and kissed me. He did try to pucker his wolf lips on his big mouth just to try to make this kiss work. I think it did, with my heart fluttering in my chest. Our second kiss, and this one seemed better than the first one. I was kissing him back, wrapping my hands around the back of his head. As each second went on, I didn't feel shaky about Lou attacking me anymore, and I didn't think about going to college anymore either. It was like they were both wiped off my mind in an instant. Who'd ever thought that kissing someone you love would do that?
We pulled our faces away, staring lovingly into each others eyes. Kyler licked my lips, and I kissed his nose. After a minute of silence passed over, I stepped back from him, suggested, "Say...Let's go inside and out of the cold...I want you to WARM me up...WOLFY." I seductively winked.
Kyler seemed to know what I was planning. He grinned, standing upright. He gestured, taking up the offer, "Lead the way." I turned and headed for the cabin's front door with him following me. We got into the house and I was leading him through the kitchen, across the living room, up the stairway, through the hall on the second floor and finally into my bedroom. I think through all that time he had his eyes on my butt. I was definitely sure he wanted to do what he wants to me.
I moved all the way to the foot of my bed. I slowly turned around and saw Kyler ducking his head below the door frame and enter my room, his head halfway touching the ceiling. He didn't say anything when he stopped a yard away from me. He was only gazing, waiting to see what I was going to do.
I admit, I was feeling a little nervous, thinking I was gonna take off my clothes and let him take away my virginity. I never done something like this before after all. But...I pushed it down, knowing I led him up here and that's exactly what I want to do.
And I wasn't stopping it.
I started this off by throwing my red cape down the floor, then...I was slowly taking off my whole costume. I was now standing in the room with only my panties and bra on me. I stared back at Kyler with hungry eyes, watching him slowly breathe out heavily at the sight of my half-naked body. I stood half-naked in front of him before when it came to swimming with him. But I was thinking now since he must be so anticipated, he was gonna be feeling hot and start panting just by looking at me! Then, I turned around, giving him a tease of what he is gonna see. I reached behind my back and unstrapped my bra. I let it drop down on my feet. Then...After I glanced behind me and gave him a attractive smile, I grabbed my panties, and slowly, and seductively, pulled them down with a swing of my hips.
I stepped off my undergarment, turning around to face him in full display. I've never been this naked in front of any guy before. But I didn't feel nervous now, nor embarrassed...This felt natural. Like natural for a werewolf to be naked all the time. I kinda felt like one.
I saw that my body wasn't the only thing that's in display. What else that came in display...Was something red in the grey between Kyler's legs. His crimson erection was showing. Kyler, while shaking a little, probably feeling nervous too other than anticipated, literally looked right at my breasts...Then dropping his eyes down to between my legs. Right after that, he glanced away, a red tint on his cheeks.
I giggled at him. I said, "God, you're funny when you get flustered. I think you're the only shyest werewolf I know. What's the matter? Haven't you ever seen female werewolves show off themselves before?"
He gulped, "...Sure they have...But you know they don't have big, squishy boobs on their chests. And I never done this sort of thing before, remember?"
"Neither have I, but I'm not feeling embarrassed." I sauntered, till I put to a stop in front of him.
Kyler looked at me again, and showed me a smile on his muzzle, "You know...I said I kinda didn't know who was more beautiful earlier. About you and Suzanne. You told me that Suzanne had the looks to beat you. But I don't think that's true. Because...I actually knew who was...You are, Molly. You're very beautiful."
I felt my heart glow from that statement. I said back, "Well, other than shyest, you're the most handsome MAN I ever met." He chuckled deeply. I lowered myself down, my head at the same level as his cock. Above his grey, furred nuts, his crimson tool only barely came out of his sheath. Well I was about to fix that. My hand moved out, and my cold fingers wrapped around and touched it. A slight gasp escaped him. I shot my eyes up and said with determination, "Looks like it's a little shy like you...Let me help it out."
I began to stroke it up and down, slowly and firmly. My werewolf lover sucked in a breath, twitching by how cold my hand was. But I had a feeling it won't be chilly long. My other hand even grasped his balls softly, massaging them for extra measure while the other was still doing its thing with the canine cock. Kyler let out a heavy breath, standing, watching down and letting this happen. Not long from the up and down strokes, it began to grow longer, literally showing its full self out to me. It throbbed in my hand as I continued to stroke it. It was kinda bigger than I thought...And looking at it kinda made me not want to wait to have that thing inside me.
I liked it that much.
Kyler suggested, "Hey...I think it's long enough for me to have you. What do you say we get on the bed now?"
But I was having an idea. A dirty idea. One I got from one of my friends in school. Perhaps werewolves never did that to each other before, and Kyler probably thinks that sex in the proper way is the only thing intimate werewolves do. But boy was he in for a surprise. It'll be another human thing he'll experience. I spoke to him, "Not yet." Then before he would reply, I teasingly licked his shaft.
"Wha-!" A surprised cry caught in his throat. Then he asked with a heavy breath let out, a confused frown on his face, "What are you doing?"
"About to give you your first blowjob."
It showed he never knew what it was with him tilting his head to the side, "What's that?"
"This." I opened up my mouth wide and engulfed his red-hot shaft.
Kyler gasped out loud by my warm, moist mouth. My hands grabbed both his legs, digging in his fur to steady myself, and immediately bobbed my head down and up. He shook and groaned, his legs shaking above the ground. He tried to stood firm, holding his balance. As I still sucked on his girth, the werewolf gasped this out, "God...Feels warm." A giggle mumbled in his tool from his naivety. Apparently I was right. Werewolves never give each other blowjobs. He's the first to have one! Lucky him.
Breathing with my nose since I still had something in my mouth, I tipped my head down again. My tongue was licking and working around his shaft. My mouth made a tiny slurping sound when it moved backward and forward. The werewolf rose his head up and closed his eyes, relishing this. A hum rumbled in his throat, "Mmmmm." His hand moved and patted the top of my head fondly. He even moved his hips forward once to time with my head pulling back. He certainly was enjoying it.
I decided to make my head move faster, as he was loving it so much now, and I felt used to giving someone pleasure with my mouth. Kyler let out a snort, ears twitching on his head, evident that it was still getting to him. My tongue swept over his amazing hood as it throbbed again. Thinking about it while I was doing it, I was trying to imagine what his cum would taste like. Like it had a mind of its own, my tongue felt like it couldn't wait to try. And so do I.
But before I could push down my head again, he quickly stopped me with a firm hand on the top of my head and his voice, "Wait." I did, freezing at licking in my mouth. My lips finally released his hardened cock, twitching a bit out in the open. I gazed up at him. He already looked down at me and told me, "I know how it's going to end when you keep up with this, and I don't want to finish it like this. I want to save what I have for the other hole. I want to give you all the love I have in the way a werewolf knows how on your bed. Please, Molly?"
I didn't argue with that one bit. Even though I wanted to have his cum shooting down my throat, I felt eager to have him giving it in the different place. Guess I'll try his stuff some other time. I nodded as I rose off the ground, grinning, "As you wish." I spun, moving towards my bed with him behind me. I swung around and jumped back and landed my back on it. I was breathing fast in anticipation, quickly spreading my legs out for him, "I'm ready."
But he didn't jump in bed with me right away. He was at the foot of the mattress, but he was standing there with a thoughtful look on his furred face...Staring at my needy lips.
I frowned at him curiously, "Kyler?"
He finally looked at my face, and said, "Can you, uh...Scooch a bit closer to the end of the bed?"
I thought I was in a good position on here, but I scooted myself till my butt was at the foot of the bed anyway. I asked while sitting up with a exposed pussy, impatient a bit over the slight delay, "Alright. You ready now?"
But he still never got on the bed. Instead, he got on his fours, and licked straight across my inviting entrance.
I cried out in surprise, "Oh!" I saw what he was thinking about. He was gonna lick ME this time. I said when he looked at me after that lick, "I thought you wanted to get down to what a werewolf usually does when it's in love."
"Well..." Kyler replied, "I have an idea. I would have gave it to you in your mouth because you were licking me...Maybe you'll give it to me when I'm licking you. I was just thinking since you're probably pretty dry, I don't think you're ready for my thing in there yet...Until I get you wet. Getting what I mean? Unless you want to take that chance."
I knew what he was talking about. He's concerned that my own tunnel is not wet enough for him to shove his hood in there. It's covered in saliva thanks to me, but maybe it wouldn't be enough. It does look big after all. I nodded meekly, "No...Go ahead." Without waiting anymore, Kyler drove his snout directly between my legs. I sucked in a breath when he began to lap my clit like there was no tomorrow.
My leg twitched involuntarily when his slick organ brushed my sweet spot again. It reached and curled across his back. As he continued to lap, I craned back my head, humming happily. My hand went out to pet between his ears, a way of saying thank you. Having an idea with my hand on him, I decided to push the back of his head forward, his tongue pressing through my snatch.
I softly cried when it invaded, "Ah!" Kyler didn't stop there. His tongue ran around in my clit, moistening up the inside of me. One of his hands rose off the floor and wrapped around my waist, gripping it tightly while his mouth worked my pussy. I cooed, shivering in delight, "There you go, wolfy. Unh." I began grinding against his muzzle a bit, like I'm returning the favor the tongue was giving me.
By his eyes, as they didn't leave where he was slurping, Kyler found it amusing. That I liked his tongue so much. Oh I certainly did. I was already falling in love with it like I already fell in love with him and his huge shaft. As he continued to lick within me, I grinded against him some more.
My leg finally got off his form. I yanked my hand off him too and dropped back on the bed, gazing only at the ceiling while feeling his pleasurable tongue still doing its ministrations. His furry hand that held around my waist was now pressed down on it, holding me in place. I said in a gratifying way, "Oh...You big, bad wolf." My hands dug in the covers as I was feeling something building. This never happened before, but I think I was getting close to my first orgasm. I quietly warned, "Kyler...I'm...I'm close."
Kyler's tongue was not letting up, pulling out of my clit and driving back in as deep as it could. It still lapped in my cavern, till finally I can feel it coming like a waterfall. I was gasping when it was about to hit me, "I...I'm..." I shuddered and cried in pleasure as it washed down on me. I felt the inside of my tunnel growing wet, my orgasm releasing juices down it.
I think I also felt some of my juices even spill out on his tongue and muzzle. But that didn't bother Kyler one bit. He was still licking at the end of my tunnel. Slurping up all that dripping juice off I bet. But while laying there, overwhelmed by my reaction, it was also driving me a little crazy, cause my lips were very sensitive now. I begged, sitting up while laughing, "All right! All right, hound dog! That's enough!"
Kyler finally stopped. He lifted his snout to see me. A long, satisfying lick swept across his lips. He commented, "That tasted good."
I giggled in reply, "Well, that means you succeeded." He leaped forward and drove his tilted muzzle to my open mouth. I held my hand against his cheek as he pushed my head back against the bed. His canine tongue went in there, and I accepted it greatly with closed eyes and a deep moan. We held our deep kiss for a long time till it was finally time to take in air. Kyler's hot breath washed down on my face as he stared down at me.
I knew it was time. I knew it was time for it to happen. When I was trying to move away from the foot of the bed, Kyler moved a bit himself to get out of the way. I scooted back till my head was laying on the pillows. I waited for the handsome werewolf as he crawled, bed creaking beneath our weight. He didn't have to do that much, cause by my estimation he was too tall for my bed. It isn't made for werewolves. Kyler loomed over my form, looking at me sweetly with his hands pressed near my sides. I spread my legs again, showing once more I was ready for this.
But he held some nervous eyes and looked away from me, "I...I'm not sure I can do this."
That had me feeling distraught a little bit. I demanded with eyes full of concern, "Why? What's the problem this time?"
"It's just...I..." Kyler turned his gaze back on me, "What if I hurt you by accident? I mean werewolves can get rough. I see that sometimes...Especially when they bite at the neck. What if I lose control and really hurt you? I don't want that."
I smiled confidently, reaching to pet his face, "You won't. I'm sure of it. I think you'll be careful to not hurt me so badly." I planted a kiss on his canine lips. Then, in a determined, no turning back tone, I begged with ready eyes, "Please...Fuck me, Kyler. I want this. Fuck me in the normal, werewolf way. Please."
He shortly smiled, confidence in his eyes. He whispered, "Ok."
And so with Kyler on his knees, he drifted a hand below me and lifted my bottom a bit. He shifted forward a bit, trying to position himself with his still erect crimson. He scooted closer, his hips between my thighs, his tip touching my still sensitive lips. He heaved out breaths of anticipation and so was I. I was ready for the push. I was absolutely ready.
He gripped my hip tightly and began the push. I slightly opened my mouth in a silent gasp as I was literally feeling that big thing shove its way in there. I gripped my bed sheets hard and curled up my legs while he went in there...Breaking my virginity. Kyler was going slow in his journey in the cavern as my walls were trying to squeeze on his tool. He moaned when he felt them, and they didn't stop his efforts. They were slick and he kept going in, popping another inch of his shaft in me. His journey ended when he made it all the way up to the hilt, his fur touching my bare skin.
Kyler waited for me to get used to it, since I never had a cock in me before. He just grinned as he noticed he was doing well so far. Happy he didn't hurt me. I did feel a tiny bit of pressure inside me, but yes I wasn't hurt. I smiled back, then nodded, my expression telling him to do it. Feeling confident still, he slowly pulled himself back. The werewolf almost brought it back out into the outside world, but he quickly pushed back in before it would.
I moaned, arching my back. Yikes!
Kyler asked concernedly, "You all right?"
I brushed that off with a few quick nods, "I'm fine, I'm fine. Keep going."
He obliged, yanking back and shoving back in. He repeated...And repeated. A soft, slopping sound was being heard in the room as he took me softly over and over again. The werewolf had both hands holding my hips, so I wouldn't slip out of his reach. I rolled my eyes back and let out another moan, feeling good by his thrusts. Kyler breathed out through his nose, while my tunnel massaged him.
I begged, grabbing handfuls of his fur, "Kyler...Harder." The werewolf's claws pierced my skin a bit as he was taking me harder. His eyes locked on mine, showing that he wouldn't look away and forget I'm here. I huffed, smiling as he bucked into me again. He leaned down and kissed me passionately on the lips. I giggled and kissed back. I opened them to let his fantastic tongue slip in there again, mine wrestling with his, all the while giving it to me still with his canine rod.
I watched him pull his mouth off me and lick my breasts. I let out a shrill cry as he teased them with his slick organ. My slick tunnel gripped and let go his cock like it was kissing it. Kyler breathed on me repeatedly as he rammed, his hot breath spitting at my face. His eyes still didn't leave me as he continued to fuck me.
He started to speed up. His girth going in and out of my pussy at a fast pace. A cry of pleasure left me, my legs curling up and toes curling down. My fingers dug into his fur, till I heard him growl because of my nails. He didn't stop what he was doing though. Kyler went down to kiss me again and I eagerly took it, licking his tongue with mine. Kyler breathed this out happily over my face, "Oh...You feel so fantastic, Molly." I arched my back when I felt him hit some particular spot deep within me. He hit it there again and again, hearing me crying happily over his ears.
I shouted his name when his hips had given me another pleasurable shove, "KYLER!"
Then, suddenly, unexpectedly, we rolled on the mattress. I was on top of him now, hands on his muscular chest, and his cock still embedded in my bottom. Kyler's head laid back against the headpost as his hands held my hips again. I stared at him, breathing heavily. Kyler was breathing heavily too when he told me the reason why, "I don't want to be the only dominant one in the relationship. Your turn to be on top."
A smile crossed my lips. My head reached forward as far as it could to kiss the werewolf on the lips again, a short one.
Then I lifted my body, all the while making sure I didn't pull out completely. I slammed down on his shaft and nuts, listening to myself moan and him groan. My body repeated over and over, my boobs bouncing up and down with it as it was quickly bouncing on his. Even in this position, there's one thing that didn't change. I can feel his crimson organ still hitting that spot inside me, the one that was making me cry in euphoria. Other than my head building sweat, my hair flew around as I fucked him, becoming a wild mess. With the way his face looked, I'm sure Kyler likes that. I look wild like a werewolf. Maybe I AM wild.
I huffed in and out in quick breaths with each crash my bottom made. Kyler then started timing my slams with his thrusts, with him pushing up his hips to meet mine. I tossed back my head and screamed happily.
While we both continued to fuck each other in this position, I later noticed Kyler closing his eyes and heard a deep hum reverberated in his throat. Then shortly without warning, he bended forward, wrapped his arms around me, bringing me closer to him, and brought his muzzle to me. He didn't kiss me again, but he did that to bite my shoulder. I cried out in pain, as his teeth sank into it like my clit did over his rod several times. Very shortly, as I was being possessively held and not move while he was thrusting away in a fast rate, I didn't feel pain anymore. I was feeling added pleasure sink its way from my shoulder. I've seen some animals do the whole 'biting' thing before, but I never understood why until now. It was amazing.
One little curious thought came into my mind, but it was clouded over by the pleasure we were both having. Kyler still gave it to me, while I was still moaning and sweating from this experience. I can feel his cock twitching inside me from the immense pleasure, he growled with his teeth still attached to my shoulder, and his claws dug into my back but probably not hard to draw blood. And it wasn't just that, I even felt something else at the base of his cock. Something rounder slapping against my entrance, like a bulb of flesh. I think I know what it was.
He has a knot! And that can only mean one thing.
He was getting close to spilling his love for the very first time. And frankly, I feel that familiar sensation building up in me too. We were both close.
I moaned as my werewolf lover was thrusting erratically below me. He did finally have his teeth let go my shoulder. He moaned out his own pleasure, then gazed into my eyes, panting with his tongue out to the side. I shrieked at his face with total euphoria, "YES, KYLER! YES!"
Then, with one, final, upward push, he popped his knot into my cavern. I screamed to high heaven, my muscled walls clamped around it tightly. Kyler groaned, then shut his eyes, drew back his ears and head, and howled to the ceiling. A loud howl that echoed out of the room. I can feel his bulging shaft giving shot after shot of white, life-giving cum up in my rear. It felt like he had a lot! It was still going.
We both were heaving out breaths heavily, done and beat. Kyler dragged me down to lay with me. He was on his back again with his head against the headpost while I was lying on his chest, my ear pressed against it. I can feel his heart beating fast while his cock was still beating out cum deep within me.
Wow...That was amazing.
My first time was way better than I imagined!
I can't believe it happened.
After a few minutes, as I caught my breath and relaxed a little, I lifted my head and smiled at the werewolf, who also stopped panting and smiled in return. He said, "Happy Halloween."
I giggled, bringing my sights to my bedside clock. It read 12:45. Turns out, we're already past midnight. Yikes...All this went by fast. Wish it would do that at school a whole lot. I turned my eyes back on him and reported, "Actually, Halloween's over. It's past midnight."
"Oh." Then with his ears flicked up, he stated with love in his eyes, "Then in that case...I love you."
I replied lovingly, "I love you too." I stretched my neck out and so did he so we can share another passionate kiss. When I pulled back, I gave him a knowing, playful look, "So..." I glanced at my butt that is still tied to him, "You have a knot, huh?"
Kyler answered with a pleased sigh, "Yeah. Werewolves, guy ones, have knots."
"Dang." I giggled as I gazed at him, "I know you're canine, but I didn't think you have one like a wolf. What else haven't you told me?"
He shook his head, "Don't have any other secrets."
"Alright..." I raised a brow, "And WHEN were you going to tell me about the knot?"
He laughed a bit, "Right now." He cleared his throat, "I wanted to keep that as a surprise. I figured it wouldn't hurt you if you didn't move too much...Till it was gone. I'm glad I didn't say anything...Who knows if you would've wanted to take it? And uh...Sorry I did that if you're mad. Guess you'll be stuck to me for a short while."
I chuckled, shaking my head, "I'm not angry. I'm just as you wanted me to be...Surprised...In a good way. I don't mind being stuck to you right now." I wiggled my butt, "Certainly does make us feel one, doesn't it?"
Kyler agreed, "Yeah...The knot does feel that way. I think it's making us feel MORE closer to each other than we already were."
I planted a kiss on his chest, "I can agree with that."
Then shortly, Kyler slowly had his eyes on my shoulder. Right away, he looked guilty. The werewolf apologized, "Oh...I really am sorry about your shoulder." I kinda forgot that he bit my shoulder, and I twisted my neck to check it out. He went on while I inspected, "It just suddenly came over me to bite it. I kinda lost it there."
I didn't notice it before, but it was bleeding a little, with some crimson flowing out of the bite marks. But it wasn't serious. I wasn't bleeding to death. Those bite marks weren't deep. I think I was gonna be fine.
"Well, it did hurt at first." I gave him a reassured smile, "But it did feel great right after that. It felt surprisingly fantastic. I absolutely loved it like everything else we did."
"But you're kinda bleeding because of me. That's not what I want."
"I'll be ok...I'm not gonna die. Really. They aren't deep. I think they might stop on their own after a bit."
Kyler paused a moment before he let out a breath, "Well...If you say so." Then he had an offered smile on his muzzle, "However, I think I should help lick them to stop bleeding. It'll make me feel better if I did. Would you mind?"
I didn't mind the offer. I can let him be affectionate with me as long as I want. I said, "No...I don't see why not. Your tongue does do wonders."
He chuckled, his mind probably thinking back to what his tongue has pleasingly done to me earlier, "Sure does."
I again glanced at the knot stuck in me, "But let's wait till I'm unstuck. It'll be easier that way when I'm not stuck to you anymore."
Kyler made a crack, "But I like being stuck to you! That way you won't ever leave me alone when I need you!"
I shot my narrowed eyes at him, "But I would love to have some privacy every once in a while, you controlling pup!" He laughed, then I did too.
After a long time, the knot deflated and I finally managed to escape from the clutches of his cock. His leftover cum oozed out of the hole he plugged, and his cock retracted back into his sheath moments later, back to its resting place. I lied beside Kyler in bed while he worked on my bite wounds, licking them tenderly till they stopped bleeding. I think they stopped a little bit before I was free from Kyler's shaft, but I didn't mind letting him help me out with this.
During his tender care, I thought about when he bit me. I thought about it after the second he did, and now it's got me thinking again...Making me wonder about something. Something serious.
Kyler noticed I was deep in thought, and stopped licking to see what's up, "Hey Molly...You ok? You're not really hurt, are you?"
I shook my head, locking my curious eyes with his, "No...I was just thinking...Kyler...You bit me while we were having sex. Do you think something will happen to me?"
He tilted his head, "What do you mean?"
"Like...Will I become a werewolf like you?" I went on, "I mean, things like that happen in the movies. We've seen that happen in them. Do you think it's possible in real life?"
Kyler rolled up his eyes to the ceiling, putting some thought to it, "Mmmmm." He shot them to me and answered, "I don't know, honestly. My pack has never bitten a human being in all the years I been with them. They also didn't tell me any stories about something like that. And I doubt anyone in the pack is a human before a werewolf. I think we're all born as werewolves."
I glanced away, "Well, if the bite wouldn't do it, then I guess all the cum you gave me will do the trick."
He frowned, "You think so?"
I looked to him, shaking my wild haired head, "Oh, I don't know. It was just a thought. None of you werewolves never fucked a human before either, right? So...Maybe it'll happen."
Kyler giggled and said, "I don't think it will. And if it did...I'm sorry it did."
I wrinkled my brow with a playful smile, "What do you mean you're sorry? I thought you'd like seeing me as a werewolf."
He replied, with a little nervousness, "Well I would. It'd be cool. But you didn't ask to be one. You asked to be with me like this tonight. That wasn't what I planned either."
I stroked his arm comfortingly, "I won't care if it happened, Kyler."
His ears shot up, surprised, "Seriously?"
"Well..." I shot my head to the right, "It'd probably be a hard adjustment at first, but...I think I'd be ok with it. With you around of course, I think everything will be all right." I thought about my parents, then added after making a tiny frown of concern, "Well...I HOPE everything will. I just hope my parents wouldn't get mad at you for accidentaly changing their daughter's life forever."
He chuckled, "I'll have you to protect me."
I added with a joke, "Least we'd be even after all the protection YOU gave me."
"That's right." We laughed. When we both settled down, Kyler nodded a bit, "I guess we'll both find out in time. See if you grow fur and fangs."
I nodded in agreement, "Right..."
Then he wondered out loud, "But I do have a question about your parents. If they get suspicious about those teeth marks, what would they think if they believe I did it? I'd have to tell them the truth if they ask, but how would they feel about us being this way?"
I shook my head, "I don't think they'll think you did it. They'll probably think a coyote bit me and you saved my life in time before it killed me. They know you're protective." I let out a breath when I told him what not to do, "And besides...I don't think we should tell them what happened between us. That also goes to Suzanne and your pack. Let's just keep it between us."
"Alright..." My werewolf lover asked, "But what happens when someone gets totally suspicious about us? Like when someone notices something different about us, you know? And what would happen when you do become a werewolf? What do you say when everyone asks how you became that way?"
I thought about it a moment, and just shrugged, "I guess we'll tell everyone the truth. We're not children. I'm eighteen, you're one year older than me, so I guess we can do whatever we want." I waved my hand, "Listen, let's not make this an issue, ok? I don't care what anyone thinks. I'm not gonna worry about it, and you shouldn't also. And if anyone asks...Tell them. It's our lives and we're doing what we want with them. Alright?"
Kyler nodded slowly a second later with a small smile, "Oh, ok. I won't worry about it." He looked at my bedside desk, and saw something on it. He changed the subject, "Hey...Is that a Goosebumps book right there?"
I turned over in bed, and reached across to snatch the book off the desk, "Yep." I brought it over for him to examine it. I told him with a smile, "It's The Werewolf of Fever Swamp."
"You're reading that one again?" Kyler giggled, "You always make the right choice choosing that one."
I playfully reminded him, "Hey, what about number 60, Werewolf Skin? And Series 2000 number 17, The Werewolf in the Living Room, and number 22, Full Moon Fever? Did you have another mind slip and forgot them too?"
Grinning, Kyler shook his head, "No I didn't, thanks for asking. I always thought you did when you choose them too." I saw his fluffy grey tail flopping up and down on the bed as he seemed totally eager about it, "Would you mind reading it to me now? You know how much I love the stories you read. I'll keep licking your shoulder and listen while you're at it."
I put my book back where it belonged, "No. It's late." I let out a yawn while his tail stopped flicking, and had a bit of disappointment shown on his face, "And I'm tired finally. I don't feel shaky about hours ago anymore. I'm gonna sleep now. I'll do that tomorrow. School's out tomorrow. It'll be the weekend."
His eyes lit up, "Oh yeah. You'll be having the house all to yourself till Monday."
"Right. I'm in the middle of it, but I'll start over and read to you sometime tomorrow."
His snout made a devilish smirk, "Well...Or we can do something else. We do have the house all to OURSELVES." His furry hand came and rubbed my bare hip in a circle, "We can do whatever we want without your folks knowing..."
I formed a serious look, pushing his hand away, "Ok, here's the deal. We're not gonna go at it every hour of the day like rabbits. I'll be worn slick." In response Kyler made a sad expression and whined. I told him with a smile, "But, we'll do it tomorrow night BEFORE I go to bed. And the night after that. I promise."
Kyler immediately looked happy, "Ok!" He bent to give me a loving lick across the cheek.
I giggled at the cute gesture. Then that's when I drew him in for a different kind of kiss...On the lips. After we shared it, I looked at my bit shoulder, almost dry from Kyler's saliva, "Well, I think they're not going to bleed anymore. I'll probably fix them up with a bandage after I take a shower in the morning."
The werewolf playfully warned, "I wouldn't waste one yet. We still have tomorrow night to do."
I told him off with a playful frown, "Then either keep your fangs to yourself or go for my other shoulder!" Kyler laughed at that. I turned over and went for the lamp. I turned it off, casting the two of us in darkness. I rested the side of my head down on the pillow, ready for shut eye. Kyler opened his jaws wide to let out a yawn. Then his form laid beside me, draped an arm around my naked body.
I said fondly to him when I closed my eyes, "Goodnight, wolfy."
He replied back, giving the back of my neck one last sweet lick, "Sweet dreams, beautiful." He took in a deep breath and let it out through his nose, relaxing in bed with me.
I relaxed with him, pressing my back against his warm, toasty fur. Still sorta awake with my eyes closed, I realized I haven't laid in bed with him for a long time. Kinda feels like the old days.
My mind thought back to years ago...Back to when me and Kyler first met. Remembering when he was just a little pup.
Gosh...I really thought he was cute back then. Who would've thought the pup I met would grow and get together with me? Nobody would, least I never did back then. I never thought it'd happen.
I don't know when I fell in love with him, but I'm happy I am with him in this way.
Like Kyler will never forget his trip to town, he'll never forget the aftermath. And neither will I. We'll both never forget the first time we shared our intimacy...As long as we live.
Then I thought about college.
Oh...I don't need to go to college. I don't have to. I don't have to get a higher education. I don't need that.
I can live without one.
There are people who do not go to college and have lived well on their own without a college degree...Maybe I can be one of those people.
Yeah, of course I can.
When high school graduation is over, I'll look for a place to live in town, so I wouldn't have to live in this house with my parents. I'm very sure they'd want me to live on my own. I'll get a job in town and make a good living.
I won't ever leave Kyler.
Kyler...
I'll tell him about my plans later. Right now, I just want to sleep. I had a LONG night.
Kyler...
I'll never leave you, Kyler. I planned it, but I won't. I'll never leave your side. I will always be with you. I'll probably not live in this house after I graduate, but I'll still always be with you. I promise.
And when the time when my parents are gone from being too old comes...I'll move back in here and own this cabin. I'll never move out of this place again...Till I'm gone too.
Till then...I will be with you...Forever.
I love you, Kyler.
I love you so much...
After my mind has been having less and less thoughts by the minute, I finally drifted off to sleep with my first, and only boyfriend I'll ever have in my life.
