Poem: The World Ablaze
The world seems to crash around you
Your staring at the flames as they cover your world
Bright and hot and oh so dangerous
You almost want to walk into the warmth
When you reach out the heat burns your finger tips
But you know if you go your fate is set into stone
You slowly back up into your door of your room
Fearing for every one in your life suddenly
You rip open the door and dash for your first route out
You stop to see the door ablaze
Your heart stops and you run for the other door
To find out its covered with fire too
So you Take the last possible action and dive out the window
You fall onto the ground from the first story
With broken glass flying after you
You look up and look around as you get up
Making sure your not on fire as much as your house is
You start calling names hoping some one would reply
Your Neighbor who is a good friend runs out and hugs you
Asking where your family is
Suddenly it hits you, they are not outside
You want to run back in to find them
But you know in your heart with a heavy feeling
It is way to late to save them
Your heart sinks and you fall to the ground
Why you feel this way you have no idea because
You had no real personal connection with your family
The fire truck and ambulance arrive as you notice your bloodied arm
Your taken into the ambulance and stiched up while they put out the flames
They find a few of your pets and the rest of your family
The only one alive was your little sister who turned on the water on the main level
To stop her from lighting on fire But she was still at risk
You hug her close knowing that the rest of your family is gone as she cries
The main thought that goes
In and out of your head is...
What do we do now...
