Their skin was a very dark green, and they wore flowing clothes. on their backs were four or so tentacles, which hung limply down.

very dark. very, very dark....and dusk liked that. the power had gone out at the house, something having gone wrong the fuse box or wiring. they didn't know what had hit the house, but the power was out now and the place was dark on the stormy night.

(i was in a very dark place when i wrote "crossing", and "website", the prequel to it, and while i stand by my work i reserve the right not to want it kicking around any more.) it was all too wonderful, all too overwhelming.
