And then, he was in the cave. he shook himself irritably and settled down comfortably to regard the cave. calling it a cave was probably a bit of a stretch. it was more of a deep overhang, with the thicket of vegetation blocking the open end.

The sound of the waves was damped in the cave. a deep calming rythm, rather than the clear rush of water on the beach. but this was all just too thrilling to pay attention to that. i am sure whoever used this cave did not want it to be found.
