By type casting them like this it lets me reuse their tropes in entirely different settings. casey for instance generally fills the role of the 'bad boy', but that means he can be written as anything from medieval bandit to 50s biker gang loner.

October's character, as inspired by reality as it is, is almost an inversion of the mary sue trope, creating a gripping and entertaining narrative as a result. oh, and the fact that he's an outside is a significant plot point of the story, and done well!
