a poem i wrote about a great serpent or sea monster that rules the waters at the edge of the world. not based on any specific place or story. i was inspired by the pirate themed album phantoms of the high seas put out by the band nox arcana.

A lone canine leaned on the railing of a boat, clasping a half empty bottle and staring trying to discern where the sky met the sea. it was no use, the dark storm clouds inking the horizon black.

After a few moments of thinking, he came up with the perfect solution: the ocean. he was a sea dragon of course, and it would be fun to learn to swim as a dragon.
