The Little Merman

After the royal wedding, Dirion was on a fishing boat by himself. The hybrid princess he had watched over for many years ordered him to take this trip as a reward for his dutiful service. Wearing green elfin garb, he sat as he sighed and waited on a bite to tug on his line.

On one particular afternoon, there was a certain someone below the surface of the water. "Who's that?" he thought softly.

Time seemed to dwindle by. "Protecting Selena has been my life's mission for over half my life. I'm honestly glad that she and Hana are happy together, but what am I to do with my life now?" He began to fall into a zen-like state as he gazed into the water.

Slowly and curiously, Como swam up to the boat and he carefully touched the bottom of it.

Not noticing the touch, Dirion snapped out of his trance when he felt a tug on the line. The young elf reared up his fishing pole and pulled as hard as he could on the line.

Suddenly, the hook snagged on the merman's tail, and Como gasped as he tried tried to get away from this guy, pulling the boat along with him.

"Woah! This is big!" The elf pulled harder.

The little merman was getting scared. He was going to be exposed, and the hook in his tail really hurt. Then, he saw the deepest part of the lake ahead of him. "Maybe I can lose him by swimming downward," he thought.

The blond male pulled as hard as he could, but the force of the downward pull was too strong. He fell into the water, letting go of the rod upon splashing the surface.

Como looked up, realized that the elf might need help. He quickly swam up to Dirion and helped him up to the surface. Once they were up out of the water, Como helped the elf back into his boat. "Are you alright?" he asked.

The elf knew not how to swim and took a lot of water into his boby. By the time they had got to the boat, he was unconscious.

Como knew he couldn't let this guy drift in the boat out here so he took it upon himself to bring the boat to shore and help the elf onto land. Once they arrived, Como got the hook out of his tail and put it inside the boat. There on the ground, Dirion lay without consciousness. The merman had never seen a creature so handsome and so beautiful in his life. "I wish I could stay by your side forever," he said softly and sadly shed some tears, "But we're from two different worlds."

"Is someone...there?" The elf began to stir, and his eyes slowly opened when he sensed the presence of another. As his eyes met the light of the beaming sun, he was met by the sight of his boat beached on the shore. He looked around for a sign of another person, but no one was around.

Como had slipped back into the water, and he watched the elf from afar. "I would give anything to be with him," he said sadly.

Just then, there was a big bang followed by a burst of bubbles and a brightly colored eel with yellow stripes appeared. "Did I hear you say you'd give anything?" he said grinning.

"Y-Yes I did," Como stuttered. "I want to have what those land dwellers call 'legs'."

The eel smiled and said, "I would be happy to grant your wish... for a fee of course," he said.

"A fee?" Como asked, "How about my seashell necklace?"

The eel looked skeptically at the trinket, but he refused. "I require something... precious," he said, "Shall we say.... your voice?"

Como was shocked at what he heard. On the other hand, if this eel can do what he said he could, then it would be worth everything to be with Dirion. "Agreed," he said.

The eel then provided the merman with a potion that would grant Como legs for one day.

"You can have your voice back once the potion has run its course," the eel explained and then he disappeared in a burst of bubbles.

Como swam up to the shore, opened the bottle and drank the potion. Suddenly, everything grew dizzy and Como fell to the ground unconscious as his fish tail turned into a pair of legs.

Dirion ran to the merman's side and arrived just in time to catch the unconscious male before contact was made with the ground. The elf prince did not see the fish tail, so he assumed the beautiful youth to be some undiscovered race of the land. The pointed eared man pulled the sleeping stranger onto the shore and laid his head on a piece of driftwood before sitting at his side.

When Como woke up, he found that he still had shining blond hair with blue eyes, but his green tail was replaced by two legs. He tried to speak but no sound came out. Then, he remembered that his voice was gone for one day.

Gazing at light green skinned male, the elf gently caressed his head. "I'm glad to see that you are alright. What's someone as delicate as you doing out here unclothed?" He began to unfasten the drawstrings of his upper tunic.

Como opened his mouth to speak forgetting that his voice was gone. He felt crestfallen when he found that out the hard way.

"Something must have traumatized you." He offered the man a smile. "You are safe now, though. Can you stand?"

Como tried standing, but his legs buckled, causing him to fall into Dirion's arms. The innocent youth looked up into the elf's eyes, hoping that he would stay near him.

"It's ok." He pointed to a cabin at the top of a nearby hill. "I'm staying at that house for the next few months. You're welcome to stay there with me while you recover. I have only one bed, but it's really big and comfy."

Como smiled as he nodded with a smile, which meant he would love to. Then, an idea came to him on how he could communicate with Dirion. He tried doing charades of him swimming, and then he made a hook with his finger and tapped the hook on his feet. When he pointed at his feet, he made his hands look like his fish tail going up and down.

"So...You were fishing in the ocean? What happened to your boat?"

Como sighed and then he acted like he was swimming, and he pointed to Dirion and pointed at the lake.

"You were swimming and saw me fishing...So, you came to me for help?" Dirion, despite his courage and sense of duty, was not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Then, Como pointed at Dirion, made the hooked finger, and acted like it snagged his foot. Then, he gestured the entire scene as best he could until he made Dirion understand what he was trying to say: that he was the one who saved the elf from drowning.

Dirion presented a gentle, warm smile and said, "I thank the, young man." He wrapped the merman in his tunic, which just barely covered his genetalia, picked him up, and carried him princess style to the cabin. The sun beamed down upon the two and they were both glistening in a light veil of sweat by the time they reached the door.

Como smiled and nuzzled his head up next to Dirion's. Just then, who should appear but Hachiko, the akita. Decland thought it would be best for Dirion to have some company, so he decided that his beloved canine would be the best choice.

The canine was in his feral form and began sniffing the merman in the elf's arms.

Como gasped and clung to Dirion. He had never seen a real dog up close before.

Chortling gently, Dirion calmed the merman. "It's ok. Hachi is friendly. See?" He managed to extend one hand out to the akita.

Como nervously extended his hand, and the hunting dog gently licked his hand, making the merman smile.

Dirion laid Como on his big, king-sized bed, and Hachiko jumped onto the mattress to snuggle up against the young, seaborne male.

"Now, what should we have to eat? I didn't catch anything, but I have some deer meat that I caught earlier."

Como shook his head no for the meats, but he smiled when he saw some vegetables.

"Oh, you must only eat vegetarian." He walked over to the counter to take inventory of what he had. "I might be able to steam the vegetables..."

After a good cooked diner of steamed carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and squash, Como was full and happy; however, he shivered when he felt a cool draft nip at some of his exposed skin.

"Well, the night is cold. It's a good thing I cut some firewood earlier." Dirion set to work making a big, bright fire in the hearth of the cabin. Around the hearth were two red couches and a shaggy, green rug.

Hachiko padded up to the green rug, curled up on it, and made himself comfortable. Como sat down in the one where Dirion was sitting in, and he was having a hard time deciding whether to hold the elf's hand or not.

The fair elf offered his hand to the merman and smiled warmly.

Como also smiled, and then he rested his head on Dirion's shoulder. Little did he know that his member was growing harder with every second.

Como took in a deep breath and exhaled with a smile as he kissed Hachiko's nose, and then he mouthed the words "I love you" to Dirion

Meanwhile, the akita stood over Como's face and took his anthro form.

Once they were there at the lake, Como was set in the water, and he looked up at Dirion with innocent eyes. "Dirion, I wanted to tell you that I was a merman but... I was hoping to spend more time with you," Como said sadly but he found himself being embraced in the elf's arms.

The elf held the merman to his body. "I knew the whole time," he said with a giggle. "You're green." His face then slowly encroached upon the younger male.

Como choked on some tears as he smiled and hugged Dirion tightly. "I love you, Dirion," he whispered. "I just wish we had more time together."

Suddenly, there was a loud bang and the same eel that gave Como the potion appeared. "I see you enjoyed it. Want more?" he asked.

"Yes I do," Como said immediately. "What about this fork?"

The eel looked at it with a raised eyebrow. "What would I do with a piece of silver ware?" he said. Then, he smiled, "But I'll tell you what I will do: When you two become mates, and have a baby... you give the child to me." Como was shocked and was about to say something but the eel cut him off short. "It's either that or just painfully short visits from your beloved," the eel said grinning.

Como drooped his head sadly and nodded. The eel smiled and then zapped Como. The merman was once again a human, only he wasn't green anymore. He had pale white skin like Dirion though he still had blonde hair and blue eyes.

"You can keep your voice. Just remember our bargain when the time comes," the eel said as there was another loud bang followed by a puff of smoke, and the eel was gone.

The elf prince tightly embraced the newly transformed male and walked him out of the water.

Como hugged Dirion's neck tightly and kissed the elf deeply and lovingly. The akita padded up to them and licked Como's cheek.

Dirion sent Hachiko away with a message. "Go and tell my father, et al, what has transpired." Then, he carried his beloved ex-merman into the cabin and nestled with him in the bed.

"I wanted to be with you the first time I saved you from drowning," Como sighed kissing Dirion's lips gently and laying his head on the elf's chest.

"I loved you from the moment I found you on the shore." He held him tightly with one arm as the other hand stroked his lover's golden locks.

"Dirion... I know that you might be the one who's supposed to ask me but.... will you marry me?" the merman asked looking innocently up into the elf's eyes.

"Yes, uh...What is your name?" he asked with a soft laugh.

"Como," the little merman chuckled. "My name is Como."

"Yes, Como, I will marry you." He pulled the youth up until their faces met.

Finally, they both kissed lovingly, and Como could feel Dirion's member growing hard against his own hardening shaft.

Moaning, the elf shifted his hips so that he and his lover could frot one another.
