"rye!!" cloud's panicked voice sounded. "rye! no!" in the distance, sirens sounded. cloud's voice was growing more distant as well until all sound faded into nothingness. "rye...rye!..."

"okay," rye muttered. "i'll see you in government," cloud said and then kissed rye lightly on the lips before he went into the hallway. before rye could recover from the kiss, he heard ariel scream his name. "rye! rye, come here!"

rye obeyed. standing next to cloud as the white otter sifted through the drawers and picked out one of rye's best outfits, rye still felt shy. after a moment of protest, rye allowed cloud to remove his towel.

Asked rye. "not really. i just enjoy being at your apartment; with no parents around, it's a high school student's paradise." rye laughs. "when do you work next rye?" marian from earlier in the morning asked. "saturday," answered rye.

rye smiled. with a groan, rye sat up and stretched, yawning. cloud sat up as well and leaned against rye, nuzzling rye's fur. rye let his arms fall, with one going around cloud's shoulders and gave cloud a gentle squeeze.

"hey rye," he welcomed rye with more enthusiasm than the day before. "i'm an early riser." he paused and stared at rye for a moment. "you look tired." "i had trouble sleeping last night," rye admitted. "were you not feeling well?"

Looking back down the lane, rye didn't see cloud swimming so he looked to his right where cloud was panting just as rye was and looking straight back into rye's eyes. "were. . ." rye tried to say out of breath. he took a few more breaths.
Tropical - Chapter Eight
With cloud massaging rye's lips with his own, rye felt the white otter slide his tongue into rye's maw. cloud's saliva tasted sweet to rye, but subtle, like the taste of an apple, which made the otter eager to taste more sweetness.

He reached down and gripped rye's wrists, almost touching rye's sheath. "you don't need to be embarrassed rye." rye's blush grew a heavier shade of red and he felt lightheaded as cloud lightly pulled rye's paws away from between his thighs.

After school, rye would always give cloud a ride home, and sometimes rye would pick cloud up on the way to school, if rye woke up early enough.

Next to rye lay an orange which was meant for cloud's breakfast. rye simply thought of the day before as he waited for cloud, who soon enough came from rye's bedroom.

"hey ruby," rye said with his excitement catching up with him, stopping just before the door. a crimson red dog behind the counter looked up to acknowledge rye. "hi rye," ruby greeted rye.
