Side Quest 4 - Gotta Start Somewhere
The plumage the 'quetzalcoatl' was covered in was actually rather nice to feel squeeze in from all around. of course, if quetza decided she was interested in more than just a hug, she could no doubt make it terribly uncomfortable.

In her native tongue the ship is called "quetzalcoatl" presumably after some god of the sakritin people but she never explained why.
