Daught lets out a disappointed grunt, taking off gifters cloak and sheathing his hammer in a holster on his back. gifter takes the cloak, clasping it around her neck again.

He spun around and cut at slate's chest, sheering through the black fabric of his cloak, which, shayde noticed, was not anything like the shadow's cloak. he sliced out again, aiming for slate's face.
