Mortal clay,
each step you take forwards your falling back two,
taking your place in the reapers queue,

feels like a dark stain
beside the house i wander
in the fields of grain

Let the heat burn away the pain
then pick up and count every grain
that's how much i love you

autumn on a sandy beach
let the crashing waves wash away your unease
count each drop as you drain oceans and seas
that's how much i love you
